Thanks for the review. I own a P100S and I call it a beast! 25 MPH is plenty fast enough for me. 62 mile range is plenty too. I agree it handles very smoothly.
Ya, I turned off mine in a hot minute.. but I wish they put some more effort into giving it a less annoying sound and I would have kept it. Btw.. new firmware is out.. let’s you hold down for continuous signal but still needs improvement.
Can you lower the front mud guard? Because it's way too high mostly you'll get a splash or road dirt. The Segway p65 is better designed because of how closely the mud guards between the scooter.
I think the 2023 Max G2 is will be a better commuter, it's lighter, it basically has all the functions that the P100 has but of coz P100 is alittle fancier but the price is also much higher. My choices were GT1, P100 and the Max G2. I have quite a few stairs at work and at home, so took the GT1 out of the equation instantly, P100 looks good but it is still 33kg and slightly bigger. I reckon the Max G2 will be one of the best (if not the best) commuter scooter this year. The value and all the tech you from it is more than amazing.
Max G2 is definitely more portable. P100S is just a luxury item. No one needs to own one because there are cheaper alternatives like you mentioned but hey.. I’m just the reviewer. Lol
I live in Australia and bought a Segway P100, it's restricted to 25KPH (15.5MPH). But I wanted it to remove the speed restrictions . So I made sure I didn't update the Segway app, I connected to the "ScooterHacking Utility" app, connected via Bluetooth and changed the region to Global. When I went back to the Segway app the speed restriction had been removed, now it can go 48KPH (30MPH). I've also updated the Segway app without it effecting the speed restrictions, it's very simple process. This will work for the EU speed restrictions also. I've upgraded from my Ninebot Max (which this same app was able to remove the 25KPH restrictions on also) and this P100 is such a pleasure to ride, I actually find 48KPH a bit too fast so I've reduced the max speed to 40KPH within the Segway app. I prefer the single brake option on the Ninebot Max, the P100 has 2 brake handles like a bicycle. It has cruise control, you press a button when you're at your ideal cruising speed. The indicators are great, it flashes 5 times before turning off automatically, unfortunately the indicator alert sound is almost the same volume as the horn, it's so loud, you can turn it off in the app, but really it should have a low volume option. I am 6'2" or 188cm and weigh 90KG 198lb and this scooter can take me up the steepest of hills. I highly recommend this scooter. But in saying this, there is a new "Segway MAX G2" which is a true upgrade to the Ninebot MAX, with every upgrade you could want, bigger motor, indicators, suspension, larger deck, and looks very similar to the Ninebot MAX, and should be a lot cheaper than the Segway P100.
Hey scooter community 👋 I just purchased the Segway P100s 2 days ago, and it’s great, I’m just curious IS THERE a fast charger for this scooter? I also have the ninebot max g30 and I use a fast charger that charges in 3 hours which uses the smaller circular port on the side right next to the standard 3 prong port on the side of the scooter. This new P100s of mine doesn’t have that smaller circular port, just the 3 prong port, does anyone know of any fast chargers sold/ made for the Segway P100s scooter?
Do you ride that frequently that the regular charge times aren’t enough? The built-in charge adapter gets quite hot already so I would caution against faster charging.. even if you find a workaround.
I just bought the P100s 2 days ago, I’m definitely going to buy the GT2 to have one to charge while I’m commuting. If you like the GT2 I think you’ll like the P100s, it’s just not as fast, and no adjustable suspension, but it’s portable and easily handled compared to the GT2 I would imagine.
I have the EU version (limited to 25 km/h and without cruise control, due to EU regulation, can be software broken of course). It's a great product, very sturdy, long-range, and really good.
@@WilliamShakerTechIt's based on legal requirements in Europe. It can be broken as with most scooters, but then it would not be legal anymore. Speed is nice, but it shortens the range significantly. I would guess full speed may reduce range to about half.

Today... hmm... and everyone once in a while you hear about the decline of testosterone in men under 30. smh... (not discouraging helmets but just that times have changed)
You think riding in a car is more dangerous? I crashed on my Wolf king GT Pro scooter going maybe 25mph. Was laid up in bed for 2 weeks. And I had on full d3O gear, without the gear I 100% would have ended up in the hospital or dead. I flew over the handlebars and hit my head hard. The helmet at worst probably saved me from brain damage. A 25mph crash in a car would be little to nothing.
You wanna know the truth? I almost NEVER ride beyond 25 mph. If I ever put it in sport mode, it's to do a quick off the line pass or to avoid danger by getting out of there fast. then I downgrade to drive mode once again. But hey... to each his own. Cheers.
