It's surprising that the US government is finally standing up for consumer's rights for once lol. Hopefully this sets a precedent that companies can't hide bs terms in their service/subscription agreements, I'm tired of having to go and read every single "free trial" or "1 month free" ToS to discover you're automatically enrolling in a monthly plan anyway, god forbid a yearly plan and having to pay it all if I decide to cancel.
People may not know this but in the United States who votes is public information (but not what they vote for). This means if you vote in every election (even the minor ones that 'you don't care about' and even if 'your vote doesn't matter') they will keep track of that and your demographic will become more important and you yourself might start getting different political ads in the mail. And while it is true that if you send a letter to your senator or to the president or representative they probably wont read it... their staff will. I'll bet you dollars to donuts that more than a few people wrote in to senators and staff or the doj and they suddenly noticed a flood of all these messages about Adobe and started looking into it (and they definitely know what Adobe is as they probably use it to make their campaign materials). The system works if you work the system.
