Best thing about henry is that gave his own speech in English He was the only royal who learned English most others needed a translater for the English soldiers
You would but I wonder if, in a time of serfdom, the average soldier from mediaeval England had the same fire in their heart for their country. My guess is that they fought for their wages and one another, not the selfish ambitions of a King.

I'd happily die for a king like Henry V, obv the speech is different but I imagine the real king Henry delivered it with the same energy. We suffered so few casualties that I woulda most likely survived. I thought so as well. So easy for a king to hide behind his castle walls while sending his armies to slaughter. Henry welcomed the thought of possible death AMONGST his men, acknowledging that he was a common soldier defending his country like the rest of them.❤
As Prince of Wales, a few years earlier at the Battle of Shrewsbury, he got shot in the face by an arrow which penetrated his head by 6 inches but continued fighting in the thick of the battle in hand to hand combat for a further 30 mins. After the battle, he underwent painful surgery to remove the arrow in an era without anasthetic. Henry was a badass

We're built on warrior kings, the Plantagenets were different, you weren't a real king unless you led your men into battle. Shameful what's happened to our country, we'll take it back one day, I'd be straight on it if we ever end up having another civil war.
