Just so you know. The gap at the base of your monitor stand should be tighter with no gap.

hiya~ just wondering how you calibrated the monitor to get it to be colour accurate?

It wasn't very elegant but I just opened the same 4-5 photos on my laptop and desktop and fiddled with them till they looked close. I tried to pick a variety (a black and white, a portrait, a colorful one etc). I was able to get it pretty close 🤷

How much did you buy the samsung m8 monitor for? Would you recommend if it was like $500 CAD (~370 USD)

Oh it would recommend it if it was $370! I got mine for about $580. I really enjoy it because I work and sleep in the same room. I feel like it's a bit unnecessary if you have a dedicated living room and separate office space. I would never be sitting at my desk in my office and go through the hassle of unplugging my computer and switching modes to watch TV. But, when im in bed and wanna watch a movie it's great to grab the remote and turn on a movie. If you live and work in the same room it's the best!

Do I have to connect this to a laptop or something to use it as a regular computer? I want to use this for school and work but I don’t own a laptop to connect this too.
Will this still be okay and work as a computer on its own?

You need a computer to work on it. Without a computer it's just a smart TV that has Netflix and stuff. Hope this helps!
