This is actually must viewing if anyone is driving through Algiers! I do not understand why the whole last segment of 428 is not 407 continuing. What a turning road!
@@504RoadTrips LOL. Yep. Funny how LA numbers their roads like this. My navi in my car goes by the state highway numbers.... I knew Perkins Rd in BR as LA 427 until I finally put it together.
That’s going to be a tough order to fill because of the distance. But maybe one day. We’ve been on the eastern end of I-64 but I didn’t have video of it.
Michael Bullington I doubt it. This was developed and numbered way after Huey Long. Martin Behrman was probably mayor of New Orleans when Huey Long was active in politics though.
The mouth of the Mississippi? Or Port Fourchon, out by Grand Isle? (Port Fourchon is further south than the southetnmost point that you can get to by the river). We actually plan a drive down the river some time in the next week or so.
DeadlyKnot I used to spend a lot of time in Grand Isle back in the mid-late 90s. We actually covered all of LA-1 in videos from the eastern tip of Grand Isle to the northwest corner of the state a couple of years ago.
My best friend lived on Carol Sue our late high school years. Been this way many times! Thanks for the vid, helps ease the homesickness.
4:15 Those trees lining that highway look really nice. Nice drive.
RangeRover Roads I believe those are some sort of Oak.
Spanish Oaks, they were planted by the junior marines in the 90s. There are some on Leo Kerner (LA 3137) highway also.
We Have that in Columbus, Ohio were St Rt 710 AKA Busch BLVD is a Loop no Direction
Awesome!

Great video. I didn't see any trains.lol
Richard Felstead: Creating tomorrow's history. No. Haven’t caught any trains lately at all.
Good to be back
Cool video. Never knew anything about the LA 428 naming.... I get confused once I get closer to Algiers.
Midnight Mystery LA-428 is more like a collection of roads.

LA 1212 is way, way worse
Sorry I wasn't active this week, I had to care for my papa...
Can you do i-64 from Missouri to Virginia, by request, Jason and SippiGirrl??

Great thanks!
Does this road have any ties to Huey Long?

Have you been to the very bottom of Louisiana? I was just down there days ago.
