Here I explain the likely cause of a lawn mower that suddenly starts to shake while mowing. If you hit a rock or other foreign object the end of the mower blades can break off causing the blade to be out of balance which in turn shakes the mower deck and mower in general.

Love your videos, I would strongly suggest that one would remove all spark plug wires. Moving the blade you don't want the engine to start.

Nice video. My blades are pretty sharp, flat and balanced. My deck still shakes when engaged. It looks like it might be the belt. Is that possible?

Ok so question, my blades are fine, the mower is 1wk over a yr old. While mowing it started shaking, squealing, and shut off. This only happens when the PTO is engaged. Can you tell me just from that what the problem might be? Thanks. I pause halfway threw just to go check my blades.

I replaced the following and still have deck vibration which is worse with deck cutting height set on 5 and not as bad when set on 2..parts replaced, both idler pulleys, both spindles, both blades new and balanced, the blade belt itself...anyone??? motor has very little vibration. deck has a lot when blades are engaged. could my new belt be defective?

Tighten your belt… follow the engagement cable until it’s end, there will be an adjustment bar … loosen the nut( just enough to slide the bar) pull towards self to tighten.
