15 year old Robert Rias, 15 year old Omar Pitts, and 14 year old Domonic Adams Jr. Rias and Adams died on scene, Pitts at the hospital. The driver hasn’t been identified yet.
Perhaps their parents failed by not installing or demanding that a curfew was followed. Yeah, I get it, it was a Saturday night, but bad things happen that late at night.
I was 14 in 1973 and things were safer way back then, but my curfew for a Friday and Saturday night was 9:00 p.m. unless I was babysitting or I had to either be at a friends house or we all just hung out in the neighborhood in front of one our homes…we weren’t driving around. Of course the driver survived…I didn’t need to read the description to know that would happen.

As sad as this is, it all comes down to only one root cause....PROPER PARENTING and teaching children right from wrong and ending the entitlement attitudes. This could have all been avoided if the driver had just stopped for police. It's way overdue for parents to teach their kids the right things and to know what type of friends your kids are socializing with.

Side impact collisions, are statistically, more likely to be fatal than head on collisions.

Much less crumple zone, lots of cabin intrusion, high chance of severe head, neck, and upper torso injuries. I’d hate to be hit from the side. Especially in an older vehicle.

Why are children allowed to drive cars? Twenty one years old is early enough, maturity is needed to stop showing off.
