    Thermal cameras are great. We use them to spot hot circuits, leaking air, and find out which guy on the crew is the one that chronically rips ass in the elevator.

    Klein makes the best tools for electricians and how can you put a price on safety especially when you're working with electric. Because if your heart is weak enough a 9-volt battery could kill you. Buy the best and it should last you almost a lifetime.

      @WeldingForJesus 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Finding out where heat loss occurs in buildings, which cylinder in an engine that doesn't work, which wheel bearing that is about to give up, if your colleague might be coming down with the flu...
      Only your imagination sets the limit really.

    • @davidc9687
      @davidc9687 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@WeldingForJesus heat loss on a building? I'm an apprentice and have no idea how an electrician will need something like that

    • @WeldingForJesus
      @WeldingForJesus 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@davidc9687 For improving insulation. A thermal imager reads surface temperature on things, so in the wintertime a poorly insulated spot will be colder than the surroundings, in the summertime it will let more outside heat through and show up as hotter than its surroundings.
      I'm no electrician so feel free to correct me, but insulation is also important for you guys isn't it? Live wires create heat and if they aren't insulated properly they could cause a fire, if I'm not mistaken? A thermal imager would show if a spot is heating up more than it should.

    • @robfahey1349
      @robfahey1349 2 ปีที่แล้ว
