In this video you will see how you can install a sport air filter by K&N instead of the original air box in your Honda CR-V with the 2.2 L i-CTDi engine.

    7:09 Thoughts
Before installing the sport air filter and after installing it:
Performance: A bit better, like 3-5 HP more with the sport air filter.
    Fuel consumption before: 6.2 l/100km
    Fuel consumption after: 5.7 l/100km
MAF at idle before: About 15 g/s
MAF at idle after: About 17 g/s
IAT at idle before: About 25°C
IAT at idle after: About 35°C
Notice: The whistle sound when I stop revving is coming from the straight piped exhaus not from the sport air filter.
Remember: The car as it is made is always the best, engineers know what they are doing and changing how the car takes the air in will change the car's performance, maybe better maybe worse. Warmer air is less dense, colder air has more oxygen in the same amount of air. You will not notice the difference in performance until you have a cold outside temperature like 1-5°C. Otherwise the engine will be sucking warmer air that has less oxygen and my perform worse than normal.
