Just a bit of info. Bournemouth (Hurn) Airport was opened as an RAF station in 1941. It was a major airport of the UK, before Heathrow opened in 1946; and temporarily being referred to as 'London-Hurn Airport' (!) before Croydon Airport slowly wound down. It was also a major diversionary airport that handled traffic from Heathrow/Gatwick/Stansted and Luton when those busy airfields were fog-bound; especially during the 80's-90's when I worked there. We handled DC-10's, Lockheed Tri-Stars, 707's and Trident's. The runway wasn't long enough for 747's at the time; (It is now.) the terminal is small; but it still has more available land space for development' than the over-saturated Heathrow. The road infrastructure into the airport is crap. It still has to be accessed from the A338 through Hurn village. No free drop-off points or rail/bus routes.
It does have an airport, its a little ummm basic (Terminal4 it isnt) but as a way of getting your bum on airplane seat without travelling too far if you are in Dorset, then its pretty viable
he sounds he is complaining that there are no masses of huge crowds to have to fight his way through with long lines of queuing to the check in desk to contend with. plus not having to walk a long way to the gate is a plus to my mind. its just a suggestion but if you are a London person then perhaps you should fly from big London and not small Bournemouth. clearly he is not used to small places as it seems to have thrown him off. the problem with big city people is they are acclimatized to expect all the other places they travel to look and feel the same as big city spaces and when they visit small cites and towns it can come as a shock to there system. its the same when you see people living in cold northern Europe. they book flights to very hot countries for the first time in there life. they feel the heat once off the plane and the first thing they do is complain about the heat. what did they expect. to rain and be cold in Dubai when they arrive just to accommodate what they are used to back home.
This comment is really insightful. This video was purely observational. I think I need to work on my acting skills in order to give honest thoughts on stuff. Thanks for using your time to watch and comment on the video.

Indeed! It was very calm, so I'll keep it in mind if I need to fly within Europe.
I mean yes, places other than London have at least small airports
It may be small, but one can land a jumbo jet at Bournemouth Airport.
the runway was extended specifically for the Concorde, and a340-600s are common here
I live 10 min drive from here 😮
