I was really disappointed when I went on the search for a modern spring bolt action. Thought it'd be a simple process and haven't found any as of yet.
So sad the big manufactureres are not producing such rifles as the haenel 310 anymore, it is just fun having the mechanics work by bolt action and not having to break the barrel.
My wish would be a spring loaded bolt action rifle for a small magazine about 10 runds of 4,5 steel balls. The newer versions are either co2 guns or BB 6mm with a lot of plastics. I want simple rifle aesthetics... in metal and wood :-( it does not even need to have the highest energies but for shooting in the garden this would be fantastic
Haenel is still going but they make guns for the german army now, sadly not airguns. The Haenel 310 is a great rifle, I can tell from experience

As for current production Oktoberfestgewehr and Diana 30 neo are coming to mind. The same Diana has k98 as an underlever and a PCP the later has a very pronounced bolt-cocker.
Sure Diana 30 (old), heanel 310 or 49a and Anschütz 275 are Schießbude classics.
As usual, an interesting video covering a style of rifle few would be familiar with.

Good informative video. I own a modded crosman 1322 carbine which is multi pump pneumatic cocked via a bolt, which iam sure you will already know. I did own the crosman 1377 as well which i did all the flat top piston and valve work on etc but i sold it as the 1322 and 1377 are literally the same gun, just different calibre. As i had a Hatsan Supercharger. 177 and Webley Alecto mk3 in. 177 i decided to let it go. I didnt have enough room in the cabinet anyway ha ha.

Where would I go to find a CZ VZ rifle? I’ve wanted one for a long time as I remember shooting similar rifles in Air Cadets when I was young. Been using a MK1 TX200 for the last 20 years or so but watching this video made me nostalgic for the old cadet guns. Thanks

Thank you again for a great, interesting film about bolt action air rifles. When I was growing up, air rifles were forbidden, absolutely out of the question. I used to sneak quick looks at my dad's Airgun World, being very careful how I returned his magazine.
I only really ever knew about BSA and Weihraurch and would have loved BSA to challenge Weihraurch more than what they did. At the time, the Weihraurch HW77 was a formidable opponent at the time.
I love the look and engineering/craftsmanship of the Webley Service air rifle. I bet you're thrilled to have that in your collection, and rightly so. I would never have known about that air rifle if it wasn't for you, so thank you.
I was wondering how it performs. Is it accurate at 25-30 yards? Could you use it to control vermin? I love to see you break the barrel with the collar-bolt action mechanism. How the barrel tightens back up when the bolt action lever is back in place is just lovely.

I know what you mean though i have shot and used firearms form 9mm hand gun to assault rifles on full auto and anti tank misses , however there is just something about a bolt a gun you feel more one with one if that makes sense

That Mars 86 must have a very short barrel and it wasn't very powerful you could distinctly hear the power difference in it's report and that other bolt action military training rifle.

Does anybody know where I can purchase a bolt action air rifle that has a magazine? I recently used one but didn’t get the chance to ask where it was from. It had a magazine capacity of 6 pellets.
