What a beautiful rendition of this lively piece of music. Antonin Dvorak would heartily approve. Symphony From The New World never sounded more lovely.
Now if the production had the English choir boys singing the words to the strings in the background I might be sobbing but small tear drops have form on the corners of my eyes. Few things bring it on but this does. Thank you Dvorak.
Such a beautiful performance. This brought tears and thoughts of times past of holidays with loved ones no longer with me. Thank you for your service and stay safe and healthy,
"Going Home" was played on accordion by tear stained Chief Petty Officer, Graham W. Jackson at the small makeshift procession accompanying the open hearse bearing the coffin of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt to the train station in Warm Springs, Georgia where it would be transported to Washington, DC. Roosevelt embodied true leadership, something that is sorely missing from latter day poiticians.
This is the perfect arrangement to perform for my father's memorial service. Is there any chance we could get the arrangement?? @Nadia Pessoa @Sgt. 1st Class Nadia Pessoa (We would sing it, but what I'm looking for is that you simply stated the main melody twice, instead of going through all the orchestral byways.) Thank you!!!
anyone else here because they read Yumi Tamura 7 Seeds and they can't think of the transition to adult from childhood without recalling this deeply rich and terribly empty song? they were kids
If only these musicians were on the podiums occupied by trump then maybe, just maybe, the vile rhetoric of trump would have been seen for what it is. This classic piece is what happens when talent, greatness, civility and plain decency are given time and space to grow and flourish. Instead we hear a man consumed by bigotry, revenge and self-absorption with a heart withered with cancer of hate. America stop, just stop and listen to what goodness sounds like. Bring American values home. The piece is called "Going home"...make it welcome.
There are quite a few things about OUR Country that get my goat, and Pres. Trump -no wonder, not a crapolitician- has addressed outspokenly, directly, as is SORELY needed, as opposed to hypocrites, bluntly for effect, with his words systematically taken out of context by his opposers to fit their propagandistic convenience. Our Country has become a DISGRACE an ever-more increasing laughing-stock in the eyes of the entire World, and he clearly is the only dawn of change. My deep concern is the negative change that his successors may bring -even by "republicans", not just "democrats": the 9/11 treasonous false flag "attack", for example, was perpetrated while the President happened to be a "republican".

Where can I get the sheet music?
Theme from the 1948 film "Snake Pit"
An already written piece used by this film maybe.
Symphony From The New World was written in 1893.
