Oh Sarah, that made ME cry ... especially when I heard his family singing to him. So sweet of you to do that. I don't know how you managed to be not just a GOOD wife but also an understanding one, too. I'm an expat. I grew up in South Carolina but have lived in Australia for almost 20 years. I've not been back even once. Not because I didn't want to but because I didn't have the extra money - we were buying a house plus trying to save. Then, I got 3 blood clots in my lungs (initially) and I cannot fly now, even though I now have the money. So, Carlo is very, very lucky to have you think of him so much. Bless you both, llove to see you happy... Oh, and Olive is such a joy to see. ♥♥♥
As a fellow South Carolinian living far away now, I feel you. I haven't been back in years because of money and it really hurts sometimes.
@@sophkdup the worst was losing my great grandmother & my best friend from high school. (My Granny was 104 but my best friend was 41. It was terrible being so far away. And since I am so far away, I always come last on everyone's list when they think about who to call and inform of things happening in our family.)
I just worry that I might pass away while my mom is still alive & I don't know how she'll handle that - I'm the oldest.
You will be totally healthy again and will see ur family in person. God is with you.
@@garunagopi thank you for saying so. I do hope that one day I will be better. I have had improvements in the last year but I still have 2 more months to go - it's been almost a year since I was last hospitalized and that 1 year out of the hospital is one of the benchmarks that my doctors are looking at in my recovery.
okay when my grandparents first rescued me out of lifelong abuse as a teen they wanted me to have “a regular high school year” they let my only 2 friends at my new school throw a surprise sleepover for me, cake in the face like the movies and the whole thing. they made sure I went back to a real school had a real prom and graduation I just wanted to be alone, do therapy, keep my head down and independent study but looking back it’s so touching and was such a thoughtful way of showing they loved me. these things mean a lot. they saved my life. when I got old enough I got custody of my siblings as teens and gave them real regular teen years too I knew they were important and formative and things like this really show the people we love that they matter in ways that tend to get a little lost in the day to day. you guys are so cute. well done :)

But a guy like Carlos was definitely going to find his one true love for sure, sooner or later. Clearly sooner though. He turned twenty-seven and already is married to his one true love. I'm 34, but have been with my boyfriend, who is most definitely My One True Love and the greatest most wonderful man like Carlos for a little over two years. Our anniversary is actually a Harry Potter's birthday lol. Was just super awesome for me because I absolutely one hundred percent love absolutely love Harry Potter, JK Rowling, books more than anything

We have good friends who are a young couple from Italy (Livorno & Bologna) and we have experienced with them many of the same things you and Sarah have gone through with English language, customs, and the joy of getting their green cards. They in turn have taught us much about Italy, as you have with Sarah. Italy is a magnificent country with beautiful people as well as beautiful culture; you should be very proud of your heritage! If you and Sarah are ever in Sarasota Florida, we'd love to take you to Luca & Monica's restaurant as our guests, it is Italian of course, and not Americanized...no spaghetti with meatballs!
