I love that Sarah doesn’t have any issues with Carlo’s sister being his other half. So many significant others think it’s okay to get in between familial relationships and as someone who’s extremely close with my siblings it’s so comforting when you find a partner that lets you nourish those relationships.
That’s the American and Northern European way.
I think southern Europeans in general are closer to their parents and siblings. There’s a cultural shift as they can live together up to their 30s for questions of expensive real estate.
My little brother is my best friend and I am so blessed that my husband supports it. It’s amazing when your significant others understand the important relationships in your life.
@@User12345fan stop with this American bullshit we aren't all equal. I grew up in a latin household who's fathers family has been here for awhile but that doesn't matter and my mon is from Colombia.. I grew up to be very close with my parent's & siblings and we all still live at home with our parent's. In fact even after my 23year old sister gets married sometime next year she along with her future husband will be living with us temporarily til they save up some more cash for very home of their own. My 26year old sister who is single still lives in this household and myself at 33 been back living at my parents because it's best this way with myself being a single mom plus my son gets to have his papa as his "father figure" that much needed mannly figure if that makes sense and most crucially he has stability in his life..
So my point is not all us Americans are the same because you must remember those who have/currently are being raised/live in a Asian, Indian, Latin, Arab, African(those who have immigrated from that continent), Eastern European's, Mediterranean(that is what their called NOT Southern European's) and Caribbean family's are the 180huge difference from your stereotypical American family...

The fact that you can accept and most importantly LOVE the relationship between your husband and his sister is a beautiful thing. You’re a good wife. I know of people who would think that Carlo and Rita being so close is weird, because their own families are not loving so they don’t understand, and this can cause a lot of issues in a marriage. Carlo is one lucky dude, and obviously he knows that :)

I totally get how close Carlo and Rita are, as family. I am American, and growing up, due to abuse and some other family dysfunction I won't get into, I had a lot of trouble trusting people. Trust issues were worse with my flesh and blood. The ONE person I loved and trusted above and beyond anyone and anything else in this life was my grandfather - mom's father. I mean, yeah, I loved my parents and all, I loved my grandmother - mom's mother - but my grandfather? I have NEVER been closer to anyone in my entire life, not even 22 years after his death, than I was (and still do feel the AM part of it too, even though he passed away from terminal lung cancer) with my grandfather. In my grandfather's eyes, I could do no wrong, I was the beloved, he was VERY protective of me, and loved me unconditionally. I really miss him, and that bond we had. I really feel like half of me is gone.
Carlo and Rita are so lucky to have that same bond my grandfather and I had, and I am so glad Carlo's wife is able to have that close friendship with Rita, and be so accepting and even encouraging of it.
Couldn’t agree more! Me and my siblings are extremely close. My sister’s ex-boyfriend took issue with her and our brother’s closeness; he accused them of being in a relationship. Absurd! I’m glad that she’s now in a loving and healthy relationship with someone who respects and understands her, as well our family dynamic.
Carlo and Sarah are truly blessed to have each other. I hope to find a love like theirs one day.
If you have a problem with a partners siblings, find an only child. Don’t break up a family because of your insecurities.

Italian families really are like no other. I'm Armenian and family is absolutely everything, if your wife doesn't get along with your family, she's pretty much gone lol. How absolutely adorable. You can tell how close they are.

Yea I was just thinking how i love the fam dynamic of certain European countries...i love European Cultures in general, but they're all fairly unique considering the small space we take on the map...
My mother and my mother in law are armenians and they are not about the family! At all. Only about themselves. So stop generalizing about armenians. And definitely don't compare them to Italians.

This video touches me in my soul...I lost my only sibling, my baby brother when he was only 18, it's been 19 years ago now and I still ache to see him daily...I can only imagine that this is what Heaven will be like for me. Thank you for sharing this precious moment with the world, we definitely need more beautiful moments like this.💖

They're called Italians. LOL all of my friends that are from Italy are like this, they all love each other immensely and once you become a friend you get hugs and double kisses every time you see them. Italian friends are the best :-)

When I was in my early 20's I was stationed in Naples Italy for 2 years. While there I fell in love with a wonderful Italian girl. Being dumb and young I screwed up the relationship when I was transferred. I turn 50 this year and still wear her ring on a necklace to remind myself of the biggest mistake in my life. You guys are so beautiful and bring back so many wonderful memories. Thank you.

Che bellissimo! Carlo's expression is so full of pure joy and love, for both his fiancée and his sister, that I actually started to tear up watching him when he first saw his sister. Carlo and Sarah and the bomb, and I wish for them tutta la felicità del mondo--per sempre.
Today has been particularly hard as it is the first birthday without my cousin who passed suddenly and unexpectedly earlier this year.
I know I will never be able to open the door and magically see her again, but this video brought me so much joy and turned what have been sad tears all day into happy ones for a moment.

This made me cry! My husband did something like this for me, coordinating with my best friend who lives on the other side of the world, to come surprise me. She posed as a pizza delivery person, and got totally into character. I really couldnt process what was happening and that she was here. Best surprise ever!.
I had a similar relationship with my brother until he met a woman that could not accept this and made him separate himself from the whole family for her. I have not spoken to him in almost 7 years and the pain at the beginning would drive me insane for the first 3 years. Now I pretend that he's dead to make it easier to live with this gap in my heart.
