There's another African store in Vilnius called OBA African Store, which is run by a lovely lady from Ghana. She runs the shop herself and also has an online store. Since you mentioned an African Store, I thought I'd give her a shoutout too.

You’re such a miss sunshine ☀️ Interesting journey! I’ve lived in Vilnius too and now on this almost autumn day I miss… all the bakeries (a bit random to say so, but yes!). The fact that every place has their own pastries and cakes, and you never know what awaits - such a difference compared to e.g. Sweden where I live now and each place has like 5 or max 10 of same (and almost always too sweet for my liking) pastries all across the country and not even trying to bake any new. Oh, and saltibarsciai 🦄💗

I'm so sorry about the hateful comments. I follow you as another non-white person who has moved to Vilnius recently and it's really disappointing to see, and it's something I have really struggled with personally. I can only commend you for continuing to have such a positive outlook and sharing your story. :)

Thanks, it was really dificult for me too, but after comparing my reality with the online trolls, i decided it wasn’t worth paying attention. people have been genuinely nice to me in reality, i don’t know where those trolls come from to be honest 😅 cause it so confusing

Ignore the trolls, they troll everybody for anything. We have a sad bunch of people who hate everyone, you can be the purest lithuanian you can find and they'll still hate you for something. You know, you're fabulous! You wouldn't get these opportunities if you wouldn't be. Glad you made it the first year of uni, it's usually the hardest one 😊

there is decent amount of africans in lithuania compared even to 2015, I know several of them, also I dont really think there is a lot of rasicm in lithuania, most commentators of hate comments are from other european countries like france, germany, sweden or poland, while these countries have problems with immigrants that they let themselves by dozens of thousands, that are war refugees, with no money, no job and etc, while at the moment most immigrants that arrive in lithuania are more well being, have more cultural respect and more money already coz our country dont accept direct refugees

i will tell one thing: be careful with those "harri harri" singers. Because they can sell drugs to you or poison you somewhat of items or food, or drinks.

Go away idjit! They are called bhaktas, followers of Krishna. They believe in karma and to drug someone it would mean that they will reincarnate into lower life form - just like you. And that would go against their beliefs.

A small country, with racist. Ask how the local population recently killed those who were even slightly different from them, and they loved to think that they were also Lithuanians.
Part of my family was killed and burned in this country.

If you say A, then you should say B. Lithuania has part of guilt for this tragedy, but you should mention that Lithuania was occupied by Nazis Germany at that moment. And most of these killings were organized by them (not all of course).
And next to this disgrace of Lithuania lived a lot of people who made their best to save Jewish people.
And don’t forget, that under Soviet occupation many Jewish worked in NKVD and similar organizations, who killed many Lithuanians as well.
