Queen Nehelenia is a very complex & intresting character in the 90ts anime I think. In the manga she instead seem to represent the shadow in jungian psychology. In this case queen Serenitys shadow persona. Mistress 9 (Hotarus shadow) & Caos also seem to play a role like that to. When Usagi tries to embrace caos it made me think that she was trying to embrace her dark side (accept it) while Caos wanted to to swallow Usagi & take over completely. Either way Usagi defeated her shadow at that time, at least for a while.. it's very interesting to look at it that way. I wonder if the author knew about jungian psychology (it was meant to be intentional) or if it just came to her either way.

In Sailor Moon Crystal, Nehelenia calls out Queen Serenity when she says "You TOO come from a distant part of the cosmos" to spite her authority over Nehelenia herself or anyone else and we can see that Queen Serenity is visibly triggered by this statement. By extension, you can presume that the original Queen Serenity's world was inevitably destroyed by her very own shadow (more specifically; her dismissal of her own shadow) only to be restored and redeemed by the light and love of her very own daughter. So tragic and beautiful. 💖

i notice in the manga and eternal her only power is to curse even that can be debatable if what happened is destiny or her curse causing the attack on moon kingdom. while in the super s she can blast energy from her hands

@@gebbygebbers I would suggest watching the DiC dub (the original) yes, the dialogue isn't as true to the Japanese as the new one - but the voice acting is absolutely incredible, the voices are seriously perfection, all of them and the music absolutely SLAPS in that dub. You can find it if you Google "Sailor Moon DiC internet archive" and it will have the first few seasons and movies!
& BTW, what other anime’s do you love? I’m going to branch out one day for lots of other anime’s I love, and I’m hoping they overlap with some other interests of friends I’ve met on here.
