    Deveriam escolher palavras e frases nas quais as diferenças entre os sotaques fossem mais acentuadas.

    I started teaching Brazilian students last year and I noticed that English pronunciation usually tends to be slightly easier for paulistas because they pronounce the English 'r' more blended but for cariocas is a bit more difficult. Is that true? I mean, is it easier for a paulista to pronounce the English r than for a carioca?

      Yes, the r of carioca looks like more with the french r. São Paulo accent remembers more an italian sound LOL.

    This is not a paulista accent. The 'R' from Sao Paulo is similar to an 'rrr' in Italian. The "paulista" 'r' in the video is actually a "caipira" sotaque from the like Goiás.

      Mas o “R” que a moça pronunciou é falado em boa parte do estado de São Paulo, apenas na capital paulista é pronunciado o “R” de influência italiana.

    great, you just need a better microphone because i can barely hear the differences, and the whole point is to learn the language by hearing. thanks!

      Hola Rea. Boa sorte.

    Yes right. The "R". In carioca is "Hiou" but in paulista is deep R.

    The Paulista R sounds similar to the western American English R, just a tad bit more open in the mouth. Interesting. I would think American English Speakers would have an easier time learning the Sao Paulo accent than the Carioca dialect?
    Y pienso que hablantes nativos de español tendría un tiempo más facil si aprende el portuguès de Europa? Sí o no?

    muito bom. mas tem paulista que fala porta sem ser enrolado. tem os 2 tipos de sotaque. um mais "caipira" outro mais "travado" kk

    • @prsgrind8794
      @prsgrind8794 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tem mais de 2 tipos, mas em geral o R sem ser enrolado é o sotaque da capital, no interior é o R retroflexo que domina mesmo.
      Não faço a minima ideia de como é o sotaque no litoral de SP

    Is there a name for the accent where the s sounds like an s, and the r is trilled (single tap, not multi-tap)? I think that is what I normally hear in media.
