I had a 1962 A 35 Van in was three years old and had already been fitted with a gold seal engine (BL reconditioned) as they did not do high mileage very well back then. I had a rear seat conversio in mine. very popular back then because prior to VAT there was just car purchase tax and Vans were considerably cheaper than cars they were derived from. Very frugal on fuel with that A series engine but they did have a propensity to rot in the sills, front wings and lower front rear wings. As the man says this one is a real beauty and I would think steel front wings would be like trying to find hens teeth
I love the way these two work together the respect he has for his grand dad is really nice to see .
Derek always brings a smile
What a lovely original looking van. Great for advertising a business

Sweet memories I learned to drive in my Dad’s A35 van and passed my test in it, my Dad used for his business and finally exchanged for a A55 van.😀

Its a Wonder the Vans not got a Raw Meaty Smell inside if it was an Actual Butcher's Van....
