The harsh fact is, TH-camrs are ruining the game more than 2k is. LakerFan cheating, playing the victim and pointing fingers after getting caught. Then you got TH-camrs making tutorials on how to exploit macros to shoot easier. Almost every video regarding 2k is "THE NEW BEST MOST GLITCHY EXPLOIT IN THE GAME!!!".... The game would be in a better place without TH-camrs. That's a fact 🤷♂

I don't understand the 2K community tbh, I'm a rl hooper and I just love having a BB game to play with, win or lose I'm having fun. But seems like 90% of the community are just trying to find the cheesiest build to win without learning how to play the game or even understand BB, like they wanna have everything on easy mode, that just sounds boring af... Seems like most are only focusing on winning even if that means not having fun, and cryin' like little kids when they can't win because they're playing against better players or they're getting out-cheesed. Don't know what they're trying to prove to themselves, that's just sad. 2K ain't no e-sport game, it's a basketball "sim" with no worldclass comp and no cash prize, don't know why people are sweating so hard over it. Being a top 2K rank player dont make you cool, it just tells everyone you stopped showering for the last couple months.
My build is mid af, playing a 5'10 PG that can do a bit of everything (3s, layups, mid-range, good passing & speed but not dribble heavy) and my highest stat is 93, which means I need to do things right for them to work, that's challenging and fun. I pass a lot and make plays, people enjoy playing with me cuz I'm chill and the ball rotates a lot, that's what a game is supposed to be : enjoyable & fun. Yall should try to make the build you want even if it's not meta/perfect, and try & learn how to make it work with your teammates ; that's way more fun & rewarding than trying to cheese your way up with players that dont shower.

I sold 2k25 2 weeks ago, this is the quickest I've ever given up on a 2k. It's ridiculous how much SBMM killed what used to be a chill way to unwind with my friends after a long day. Every single game in the rec is a sweatfest

The fact that in 1v1 if you make someone quit, you are stuck with a cracked AI. It makes my blood boil when the ai starts playing better than the person
paint defense is terrible. there’s absolutely no contact when someone stands under the rim with the ball and they just standing dunk like i’m not even there everytime

You can still play the game for fun. If your mindset is to grind your cap breakers in order to play the game, then you won’t ever feel like you’re having fun. But you can definitely still play the game for fun without grinding 24/7.

@@Nahanoo Playing the game normally means you don’t need to “grind” the game. I don’t play the game all the time, but I’ve got all the badges that matter when playing with my friends. I’ve played maybe 2 mycareer games and 10-20 rec games. Not at all a hassle.

i’ve been enjoying this 2k, it’s my favorite since 2k19 honestly. the only thing that needs to be fixed is the lane steals, stripping while defending layups, and paint defense

Showers together? As for Lakers vid, no gamer is in the wrong. that is a broken system within 2K. There is no "honor system" in 2K. If something can give you an advantage... it will be taken. Same goes for the Rhythm shooting paddles. Gamers will be gamers. This is why actual top gaming franchises have testers by gamers.
That moment when you know 2k needs to start dropping to their old release dates which were October-November timeframe…These September drops have been nothing but problems and it’s like we play the beta of the game until the real title update which is the OCT/NOV timeframe…

@maxhess202 the +2 badge points you earn at lvl 40 doesn't let you go above your max potential badges, only the tier 1 and 2 +1s do that.

I don't mind the moving in together, but going into parks with 60s is rediculous especially because they are already at an advantage by being ranked higher than everyone else and having a steady teammate to play with which is something that i struggle with and am looking for a permanent center who can rebound and shoot on pc tho.
I have no clue if it is just me, but over about the past 2 weeks I feel like every time I go in for a meter dunk it makes me eurostep or do sum dumb shit. I've also seen a lot of people complain about their rhythm shooting giving them a regular shot (usually a very late). I think they messed something up with the pro stick. I was yammin on mfs with that meter dunk when I made my first 96 driving dunk build.
Can we at least bring back shot celebrations from old 2ks, miss those man
The problem isn't even just that one cheese. It just shows a fundamental problem with defense in general... Defense is awful in this game right now overall. You can't hound in online matches due to players just having max speed / agility and the latency.
The AI are the best defenders in the game because they don't have to deal with this latency BS and their players can actually hound up against players.
Interior defense is just straight up trash on anything driving. It's gotta be a bug or something.
The fact that post scorers have been plaguing the 1s and 2s for years is just sad atp. They need everything but that

That’s on you or your build bro. Cant expect to shoot lights out with a 75 3pt or get stops with a 70 interior defense. this year we finally have a game thats doesnt have the typical demi-god build what people have been btchin about for years, but now everyone complainin about the fact there’s no demi-god builds that can do everything.
To me, this game feels great. If you have a 96 steal, you should get an absurd amount of steals, because thats what your build was made for. If you only have 75 pass acc, of course people will start spamming lanes.

I actually have an alternative perspective. I am enjoying this game a lot this year. I’m an enforcing center, 94 overall. HOF defensive badges, a little shooting, pretty decent finishing. I work full time and go to college full time, so I really don’t have much time to play but when I do I have a lot of fun. I don’t cheat, I don’t exploit, I don’t even play mycareer or grind anything like that. I just like to play theater, park, and rec. I had no clue a lot of this exploitation stuff was happening, but it really is a shame. Maybe ignorance is bliss but I’m really liking this year personally, even if I’m in the minority
This one guy I play with had 94 days on 2k24 that’s 25% of the year he was playing 2k😂
Paint defense is so terrible it does not make the game fun for me. First time I ever just wanted to give up playing because I’m like what’s the point. I can anticipate peoples shots with high interior 7’0 tall and high block

I understand not wanting to take a core mechanic away from the game when some people have practiced rhythm shooting the correct way. I'm a guard I shoot 58 percent from 3 and I use rhythm shooting on all spot ups. I play on Playstation . It boosted my shooting by probably 15 percent. But~~ I wish they just let the community vote. I bet if they put a vote in game for the 2k community they'd find a mass majority of the players would want rhythm gone. It's close to the point where I'll be turning cross play off just to ensure a level playing field.
The sad reality is that there will always be a better player and people place blame on everyone else instead of admitting the team in general had a bad game. The game does have issues but you should also learn to adapt to the game instead of playing the developers. Maybe no one can stop post fades because no one has a 99 interior defense
