  • In this tutorial, we'll show you how to change the LCD screen of your iPad Pro 12.9 by yourself.
Attention: There are two ways to change the LCD screen of the iPad Pro 12.9. Either you're using a new display that already has an LCD flex cable included (our recommendation!), or you're using a display that does not have LCD Flex and you'll need to transfer it from the old display to the new one. This step is expressly recommended only for professionals since the flex must be soldered. The variety of individual solder joints is a potential source of error. If you do not work very meticulously at one point, this can lead to the display not working properly or only to a limited extent. So you should be absolutely sure that you can do it. Otherwise, we strongly recommend using a display with integrated LCD-Flex! In our tutorial, we show the variant with the integrated flex.

You missed out the critical part which was to disconnect the battery before releasing the screen. This guide should be removed to avoid potential damage to the iPad. PLEASE DISCONNECT BATTERY BEFORE DISCONNECTING THE SCREEN!!

Disconnect the battery and discharge for 2 MINUTES before even thinking about removing the screen connector cables

Testing is necessary before gluing the pieces together.

You would need to disconnect the battery first, and also very important using a short screwdriver for the screws as is no room due to the screen flex being short. Great video anyway!

Is it possible to remove the logic board and do a backup? My unit is dead, I have removed the screen. Thank you!

They mentioned nothing about the face recognition not working after the replacement and what to do about it.

The 2015 iPad Pro uses TouchID not FaceID.

I did this repair and the home button didn't stay, it fell in within a few presses. I hadn't glued screen back to test so what can I do to get it to stay put?

Hey boss sometimes i run into this problem too, usually a pea size dab of industrial adhesive does the trick, one dot on the left side of the bracket and one dot the right. Hold each side on the bracket with your fingers for about 2-5 minutes just so the bracket doesnt shift out of place when you go to put the digitizer back onto the iPad :)

Bro you didn’t even connect the homebutton to the new screen. Literally just a hole when you put the screen back on. Sorry but dislike from me, there were also strange parts in this video
