Ive played this game solo 16 times now. The best I've score is 88. I am dumbfounded how people score >110!! Its a great solo game because it is exactly like the multiplayer, so your not missing out on anything. It is slowly climbing the ranks in my boardgame collection.... Great game that isnt getting the buzz I think it deserves.
I just played this gem with the identical setup (same 4 Master Cards, same bonus tokens, same arrangement of tiles, same travel board, same card order to the extent it was known). I ended up with 91 points, went more book-heavy than you did. Really enjoyed the “competition”! (Although I had foresight…but it gave me a goal to beat in my solo play!) Thank you for this!
Thoroughly enjoyed watching this. Was great seeing the thought process in action. Wasn’t sure I would enjoy this game, but now it’s rocketed up my list. Hope you do more of these, you really looked like you were having fun!

Great video! I liked your playthrough. You play quite fast, and I like that. Many other channels play just soooo slow, so the video is often an hour longer than needed. Keep up the good work! Have you concidered a solo playthrough of Underwater Cities? I liked this video so much, I joined as a patreon.
This is one of the games where you have to ask yourself what the benefit is of playing it with others. It would extend the playtime significantly without any meaningful interaction at all. Almost want to say this one is better solo.
Glad you enjoyed playing the game solo but it very much looked like just playing the multiplayer game on your own with a rate your score system. There are significantly better solo experiences out there but I think a lot of the enjoyment comes from playing a game you like. Thank you for the video, I now don’t think it’s worth buying this for solo play but still might think about it given I know I enjoy it.

One of the reasons I bought this game was because it supported solo play. I appreciate you filming a run through of it that way, Paul!

I scored 114 points on my first play! (solo) , I filled many rows in my library, my lowest score so far is 90
