This is one of the most swinging take I know of the Count Basie Orchestra performing "Moten Swing" (by Bennie Moten), and it has been recorded live at The Americana Hotel - Miami, Florida on May 31, 1959.

This is a fantastic clip. The live performance brings back memories of a "by-gone " era. The background applause and chatter brings 1950's back to life- a time when big band music in the States was really King- and who better to bring us this beautiful misc but the Count, with Sonny Payne on drums! -Fabulous!
