Unacceptable that the practice was so bad at receiving and responding to phone calls and emails, especially given the emergency situation you were in. Putting myself in your shoes, when I couldn't get help from them, I would have had someone drive me to the ER.
Sorry for sharing your poor experience. Thanks for putting this story in public view. I hope you are felling better now. Since you have posted this, have you heard any positive results post Aquablation surgery through your network? Was this poor experience specific to your urologist? TIA for further input.
Thank your for your time and effort with these videos. I currently am looking for the best procedure for me and it seems HoLEP is the gold standard. Just started really investigating aquablation now in depth to make a final decision.
Sorry to hear about your less than stellar aquablation procedure. Your much nicer than I because if that doctor did and acted the way your urologist acted, lets just say it wouldn't have been pretty for him or her. I would have made sure everyone in the world knew, about his substandard and crappy service. Covid apparently through a wrench into everyones pocket book, but to try to make up your dollars, through an assembly line approach with ones patients, is irresponsible, rude, selfish and borderline criminal. Some may think thats an.over reaction, i dont care. When we go into have a procedure, we are counting on and expectiong our dr or urologist to follow the vow they took to become a dr.. Anyway good luck on your hopefull healthy healing ....
I very much appreciate your words. Sadly some physicians care more about how much money they can make and less about patient care. I have not heard a word since posting these videos so it is obvious to me that he just does not care to even discuss it with me.
Hopefully you have found a good Urologist who will give you an honest assessment of which procedure is best for you. I still find it unsettling that I had so much blockage and why I was not provided with adequate follow up care.
@MikeJeff Thank you. My constant research since last time here I think aquablation procedure is more appealing because of much less surgery time and avoiding damage to important nerves as long as bleeding and clean up is done perfectly after the surgery. We are lucky to have choices as long as we find a doctor who does a good job and is reachable if you need after surgery. Best wishes to you, and appreciate sharing your experiences.
PSA = 2.7 Foley Catheter - Three-way, or triple lumen catheters have a third channel used to infuse sterile saline or another irrigating solution. These are used primarily after surgery on the bladder or prostate, to wash away blood and blood clots. Do a Google search and you will see what I mean.

It's hard to say, but I believe that Aquablation is a good option in the hands of skilled physician who is also patient-centered.

I wish you well and hope that whatever you decide it will improve your symptoms.
Dude. You are pretty calm for being treated so badly.

Thank you for sharing.
IPSS score? Prostate size in cc?
It looks like Holep is a better procedure. Also why all the pieces causing blockage not removed during the procedure?

What is this "joint" in the catheter you're referring to?
