To clarify: when I talk about the Melchizedekian priesthood, I was using the language from Hebrews. But I don't actually mean that it is the literal Melchizedekian priesthood. Melchizedek was a type of Christ. So it's more apt to say that we serve as priests under Christ. Not that we serve in some Melchizedekian order of priests. I felt the need to clarify because Catholics and Mormons talk about the Melchizedekian priesthood but in a different way than what I meant to communicate in this video.

Sorry I can't see how Mormons fit into Christianity

I’d be interested in knowing how many of your worship leader subscribers are unpaid like me? I’ve never been paid a dime for leading worship and I’ve been doing this for well over twenty years. So, discussion of hours and expectations is irrelevant for people like me. I’ve found that the more you do, the more they expect. And that’s sometimes seasoned with a sprinkling of guilt. If God has gifted you with these talents, they say, you should provide them freely for the greater good.

Hahaha welcome to being a musician.
“Will you play my wedding for free? It’ll be great exposure when I post the vids on social media.”
“Spend 6+ years in conservatory training to audition for this orchestra where you can make $7K a year!”
“Oh, if you really love the Lord and want to serve him, you’ll play for free….”

I always love when I get asked to do Funerals and weddings for people at our church. They all assume I'm on staff and so therefor should do it for free. Even if I WAS on staff, I would still be charging.
I'm happy to help your family celebrate or mourn, but I've got a family and kids. And gear is expensive!

@@razersedge2273 sometimes I’d like to see one of these people call a Christian plumber to come fix their toilet and try using one of those lines (“if you really wanted to serve the Lord with your plumbing, you’d do it for free”)

Hummm … does this apply to unpaid worship leaders as well?

I believe unpaid means we can say no whenever we want.

@@timmiller1 the number of times I've seen them TRY that and then get emotionally manipulated though is insane. Expecting people married with kids and a day job to give up 2 nights and sometimes all day Sunday, every single week.

You should absolutely be setting clear and fair boundaries. I made it clear to my church, I max out at 3 Sundays a week. I'm already there at minimum 2 nights a week for Jr High and worship rehearsals. More than that is too much unless they want to put me on salary.
Church leadership needs to have realistic expectations, but the problem is I'm sure you've heard "10% of the church does 95% of the work" and it is absolutely true. It's why Churches need to encourage a culture of mutual service and kindness.

How to overcome the fear from forgetting the lyrics as a lead singer and how to know if you are called to do lead ?

In my personal case I thoroughly disagree. I'm DEFINITELY a Worship Leader and a Levite. But I'm talking more genetically than in "theological practice". The joys of being a Jewish believer in Christ!
Absolutely hit the nail on the head, Jesus was High Priest and King in the line of Melchizedek. We are joined to a Holy and Royal Priesthood.

I am very sorry but I do not understand how being a worship director is a job and not ministry. Why are you referring to ministry, a ministry that is so vital in the things of God as a job. Someone who works in a church. I am sorry but I strongly disagree

Why do you think the words “job” and “ministry” are mutually exclusive?
If you believe no one working in the church should be paid for their work, then your beef is with the entire church business structure and also some larger issues with society rather than worship leaders.
If you’re going to say something like the preacher should be paid and no one else should, that’s rather arbitrary.
Just not sure what the basis is for your comment
