How did you go about getting clearance from COTA to fly and record this? This would help me a ton as I have a project and need to figure the proper channels to get clearance. TIA!
I didn't take off/land from COTA property so I just asked and got approved from FAA using LAANC service (through AirMap or AirHub) since it's within 5 miles of AUS.
@@GeoExplorerStudio Perfect! That will be my route as well then! I reached out to COTA directly and they said no even for just a quick 30 mins or less, even with me providing a COI of $5mil and my LANNC clearance. So with this info you've provided, I will just deploy outside of the property after clearance with LANNC for the 300' airspace. I appreciate the feedback!
When was this shot? Still no Turn 2 Grandstand even though COTA said the race was sold out even while still selling tickets to Turn 2.
It was filmed about three weeks ago.
