    Good video .. I^m totally in the Einhell ecosystem and power exchange, From this drill to SDS drill to table saw to hedge trimmers and grinders and vacuum etc etc.. I'm a power user DIYer and can't fault the price vs performance ratio.

    I have a bunch of the Ozito branded tools and bits, both X-Change and cabled (it is a little cheaper for the same thing if you can still find it after the Homebase/Bunnings situation) and really like their stuff. I would rate it above some of the big names' entry level tools, and been flawless for everything I have thrown at it. I am glad Einhell are easy to get hold of as it saves me having to try to import bits once Ozito have disappeared completely from the UK. Great videos! 👍🏻

      I must of bought half the Ozito tools when bunnings closed down in st Albans,I know they make good tools as i have tried to destroy a $10 orbital sander in australia ,could not do it..batteries and charger and all tools same as Einhell.

      @josephking6515 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not intending to sound snarky so my apologies is it comes off as such but you do realise that Einhell purchased Ozito in 2016 so they should honor any warranty on your Ozito tools. Bunnings are the only distributer of Ozito tool range here downunder. I looked at the Einhell website and drooled with envy at some of the items you have that we don't.

    • @Lewis_Emblack
      @Lewis_Emblack 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@josephking6515 Not at all, and yes I have always assumed they would. To be honest I can't see any of my tools dying before the warranty runs out as I don't use them in a professional capacity and they all still work flawlessly.
      Einhell has a brilliant range of tools available but I assume the import costs might be a bit prohibitive for you? I have since acquired the Einhell Brushless Hammer Drill and several of their batteries and they have the same consistent quality throughout. I don't think I'll every get any other brand unless they disappear.

    I'm impressed by this kind of video. I think we've all seen enough of the 'look, it drills eight holes in ten seconds in a piece of wood' type of 'review'. Just one thing; perhaps you could add a little about what is in the complete package e.g. case, charger etc.

    • @toolteardown
      @toolteardown  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Bayadere, thanks for the feedback! The Einhell Hammer Drill was purchased as a solo device. So that one comes without any battery or charger. The only accessory is the toolbelt clip you can screw into the handle. I'll make mention of these things going forward :)

    Nice review! Do you have any experience with the einhell brushless 18/40 li bl (40NM)? It seems a nice product but looks at overall a little cheaper, besides no hammer function it is full plastic. Not sure if that would by a good purchase for a heavy DIY user (work mostly) but it's almost 25% cheaper than the 18/40 brushed version which has a better housing.

    • @josephking6515

      Found the same issue and resorted to tuning the chuck as tight as my puny little hands and arms can. It's a tad annoying that eh. Maybe get a speed wrench and put rubber sleeves on the jaws to protect the chuck and your tool warranty. Alternatively you could get a cheapie rubber strap with a plastic handle oil filter remover and use that to tighten and untighten it. I have one I use to remove the plastic casing on bathroom taps so I can get to the spindle and remove it.

    • @toolteardown

      Hello, It could be quite a few things. Start with the simple things, just to make sure it is not something easy. Did you try it with a different battery/ fully charged battery? Try change the rotation & drill settings to see if this makes any difference. Does it smell like burned plastic when you try to turn it on? Can you hear any noises when you try to turn it on? If you have access to compressed air, try cleaning out the vent holes of the drill, blow the dust / dirt out. If that does not make any difference it's probably the electronics, which you can access by opening the drill. Check for any broken / damaged connections on any of the solder points. Have a good look inside the motor windings as well. Measure continuity on the motor, switch, terminal & PCB to check if you can pin point the issue. If this all looks good, it might be the PCB itself (probably one or more of the mosfet's) which is kaput. If you are good with electronics you might be able to pin point it and replace the individual part, if not you probably want to order a replacement PCB.

      Silly question perhaps, but is it still in the warranty? (Einhell have 2 - 3 years on their tools depending on if it was registered or not)

      Hi Armin, sounds like the one or more of the mosfets have packed up. They electronically control the speed of the drill depending on how far the trigger switch is pushed in. If the drill only turns a fraction of a rotation, one or more of them have stopped working, regulating the speed. This could happen if they get too hot for too long by long use of the drill, or if the speed is changed a lot. (which also generates a lot of heat in them)

    Having the LED light up high will cast a shadow of the chuck rendering it pretty useless.

    • @toolteardown
      @toolteardown  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pretty much every drill model from Makita uses the high LED placement, as well as quite a few drills made by DeWalt & Milwaukee, so it appears to work ;) It needs to illuminate an area about 50mm in front of the chuck, not the tip of the chuck as with a drill either drill-bits or bit adaptors all "stick" out and is only really needed for initial part of the application, a.i. starting / undoing a screw or drilling a hole.
