Definitely! He doesn't try to "show up" the chord, so it stays ringing. These guys are the best champion quartet in a while, as their scores would indicate...
What are you talking about? The chorus was in B major. They remained perfectly in tune throughout the song. These guys are pro. They're not going to accidentally slip up a semitone half way through.
yeah I agree - the fact that he can hold it that long is huge, but what really impresses me is how perfect the lock is on the final chord - I mean even if I COULD hold a note that long, near the end my voice would be wavering and weak
I think I can see what you mean actually. They modulate into C major at 2:47. Then they sing the chours in G# at 3:38. They are consistantly in tune though.
i'm in heaven right now. the tenor rules anything that ever ruled.

this is probably my favorite barbershop quartet. they have such beautiful harmonies and entertainment in the songs.
I believe it's a David Wright arrangement.
very well-polished sound. absolutely EVERY chord rings. that's amazing.
i think i just fell in love.... with that mans held out note!!!!
WOW!!!!!! That was awesome and the note at the end was the icing on the cake!!!
Frickin awesome post by the tenor at the end!!
This is one of your best run through's.

For the baseball fans out there, does anybody else think Chris Hallam (bass) looks exactly like Cincinnati pitcher Aaron Harang?

There isn't much to say here. This is a hard piece and it done great with just miniscule mistakes (maybe one). Very Very Good Job!!!
What are you talking about? It was G# to start, and G# at finish.
Hell of a note.
3:53
oh dear god...i don't have a pipe right now, does anyone know what note tim was holding?

Remember kids!! Don't smoke!
I cannot find it on Comcast, but I will keep trying. I am guessing they switch out their content a lot.
@rspaster You forgot Kipp and Jason January.
Wow, that was phenomenal! Does anyone know who the arranger of this piece is?
it starts at 1:02. you're welcome.
I've been wondering. Is Eric usually singing in falsetto, or is his voice just that pure and mellifluous?
mellifluous
@JSUTrumpet I think he's aware. Note his later comment of "I thought it was pretty funny"
Exactly how many shades of purple did Tim turn on that last note? :)
props to the dude on the far left man way to not pass out
@Sylvanas590 no it wasn't, it started in Ab, and ended in G#...get it right.
no falsetto for the most of it... hes just got that smooth sound to his head voice
sure is :)
Tim is now purple enough to play Grape Ape in a movie.
Would you really want your co-singer to turn purple from a long note like that? :)
@MLeeemily wish it was... Supernote winnerrrr ;P
it was a G#/Ab
haha yeah, I thought he did at first until I went back
27 second post....
@sansburni I thought it was pretty funny Ian =P
Barbershop doesn't qualify for any MTV-style music channel. Music channels only accept artists that use profanity, crude lyrics, or autotuning.
lol... 3:36 looks like Eric gives everyone the finger.
1:03 if you wanna get right to it
Anyone else notice how Jonni almost tripped at the beginning of the song? That would have sucked.
3:30 i mean
@Tgoon1 its not hahah
tim is a super mutant he has 30 lungs! but he is amazing
DAT TAG
I didn't think it was possible to circular breathe when singing lol
The melody voice drowns...
"She's evil in bed"?
Evil demented and mad
