    ⚠⚠ Safety Note: If you are not confident handling dogs, or your insurance does not cover you doing so, or the owner would prefer you not to, then you need to talk the client through this process. I do both depending on the dog in front of me at the time. If in doubt, let the owner handle the dog. ⚠⚠

    This is so helpful, thank you! Been practicing on my dog as I work toward starting my business. Before watching this I saw a cool log and just said "hop up" to my dog and pointed and he did it, haha. Obv so different with client dogs though. But I'm going to do this method with my dog from now on because I see how the circling makes it safer too. Great tips! Thank you!

    So I'm watching your video in my kitchen this morning, and my 85 lb Doodle Leo walks in -I grab the treats and attempt to have Leo put his paws up on the Kitchen chair using your technique. Presto, it worked first time!! Wonderful video, bravo!

    Thanks Jess. You make it look possible! My dog not great with treats even high value chicken, but responds to a ball , but I am keen to give this a try. Great advice.

      Responding to a ball is absolutely fine and I can't wait to see your dog on a log 🤓

    Love love love this video 😍 Super helpful and so easy to follow. Cheers Jess u 🌟 Incorporating the semi circle is a game changer, I tend to use it to get the dog in position on the floor / or as a reset but have never used it when asking to dog to get up onto an object which is why they tend to jump off 💡 thankyou for sharing, super informative & helpful as always.

    Probably a very beginner question to ask, but do you always have a second person doing this for you while you shoot or are you positioning the dog AND also photographing them? It that regard, how do you get the dog to "stay" on the object without following you or the handler away from the object again?

      This is for working with clients dogs so there is always the client there as a human too. If you’re wanting to work with your own dogs then Bryt Diaries playlist on our channel covers all our dog model training 🙌

    Great video! I always love your videos and the way you explain stuff. Thankfully my dogs are like mountain goats climbing on logs etc themselves while on a walk so I don't have any trouble with this 😂 but will be useful for other dogs photoshoot, please can you do a video on tips for location scouting? 🤔

  • @TheClearwayForce
    @TheClearwayForce ปีที่แล้ว

    Do you still use the Sony Alpha a7R III
    I got a canon 5d mark iv but the eye AF from the Sony is tempting me

    • @ThatPhotographySpot
      @ThatPhotographySpot  ปีที่แล้ว

      We rarely use the a7R III. We have upgraded our camera bodies but still shoot with Sony 🙂

    Loved this video! 😊 100% recommended for all dog photographers. I wish my dog wasn’t afraid of so many things… she doesn’t give a sh!t about food or ball if she is on leash, and I can’t release her in the middle of the forest 😂 well can I can, not sure what will happen! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Luckily I can release her on the beach when nobody is around, will try there, let’s see if she listens to me! 😊

      You know Stefan, usually I’d say nothing but something kind to a comment like this, because you never know what someone else is going through in their personal lives and maybe they’re struggling or feeling down and maybe I’m just an easy target and I can deal with that. But today, sadly, is not that day for me. I’ve watched our team move heaven and earth to get this heavily requested and entirely free video out onto TH-cam by 12 noon with permission from 3 owners and 4 humans to even get the clips needed. It costs absolutely nothing to be kind and just because you’re having a bad day doesn’t mean you need to go out of your way to make someone else’s worse you know?
      That all being said, I genuinely do hope you have a great weekend and are staying safe and well this February 🙂

      personally I think Jess' videos are very informative and id be a bit concerned if she barely spoke at all. Honestly if you don't like the video you didn't need comment. but that being said thanks for teaching me a new word, id never heard of the term 'kitsch' before 👍
