    I've just bought the same year and model estate version, and to say I'm pleased with it is an understatement! I've always loved Diesel engines and didn't think for one moment that a vehicle like this could ever exist. Low emissions, good low end torque, turbo, (it goes when you press the loud pedal), excellent gearbox, steering and brakes, along with great fuel economy. Full service history from new to boot! Rear seats fold flat. All my Christmases came at once!
    Thanks for confirming my suspicions, Barrie!
    Liked, subscribed button pressed and bell dung!

    Currently daily driving a 330000 ex taxi 2011 model manual. Changed brushes on alternator, single mass conversion due to dual mass failing. New windscreen lower arms droplinks oils and filter etc. Slight whine on the over run suspect gearbox bearings damaged by failing dual mass. Average 55mpg. Combination city motorway use. Seems most economical on a run with gentle acceleration and lots of good anticipation when coming to a stop, maintaining an average speed of 62mph gps.

    Bought my self the exact car in dark blue looks amazing and drives perfectly not to high tech and has still aged well although had to replace the battery as it still had the stock one in and kept going flat on me 😂

    Recently test drove one myself and like you loved the crispness and position of the gearbox (slightly raised); the steering is soo sharp, literally no time lag between turning the steering and car pointing in wanted direction. Also loved the 1.5tdci 120 engine, similar to one in video.....smooth punchy engine Coming from the Leon FR with stiffer sport steering I thought the focus steering was a tad light but 99% will find it perfect. Even the current focus out in stline trim looks soo fresh considering stage in lifecycle.....can't wait to see new one out this year as it looks good....lets hope the sync2 in it improves....

      Nothing wrong with coasting modern vehicles as electrical stability and abs braking systems have any sensible forward planning driver would need. That said if road conditions are not very favorable personally I would think twice about coasting anything.

    PLEASE call or write Ford Customer Service. Tell them we want the new generation Fiesta and/or Focus hatchbacks with manual transmission option in the U.S./Canadian market. If all their customers are telling them, they'll listen and bring us BACK these best-in-class driver's hatches. Thank you for your support in this petition effort!

      Yeah it’s definitely 5w30 fully synthetic. Ford recommends Ford
      Motorcraft or Castrol but doesn’t really matter, just check it conforms
      to spec “WSS-M2C913-C”

      Pick, pretty much any Ford, Citroen, Mini, Mazda or Peugeot from around that age with a 1.6l diesel and it’ll be the same engine. Don’t forget to do your filter at the same time and use a new sump plug washer (if fitted).

    2013 car that has heater control dials from 2005? thats really odd I dont understand that. I would go straight and buy an aftermarket updated heater knobs and replace those 2005 stock ones. My old vw golf 2006 had rear electric windows. Mybe ford had to cut costs in that area.

    Does the dpf require any fluid ?

    • @danh2310
      @danh2310 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 1.6tdci were known for dpf issues on the model before this one. Not sure if this one is prone to blocking all depends on the lengths of drives. But u dont use fluid for dpfs lol

    • @sbrader97

      @@danh2310 The psa engines they used to use eolys fluid on the mk2 that aided with burning off the soot that u had to refill once it ran out to stop the dpf blocking not sure if they still use eolys fluid on the mk3

      @NewFrontier90 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, I have a 2011 1.6 tdci Edge econetic DPF seems fine, no exhaust fluid system. 329997 currently in the clocks, do drive it hard once a week for about 20mins in the attempt to give the dpf a chance to have a good clear out. However my boss recently purchased a 2016 model with 48k with a dpf fault power restricted. Forscan won't let me do a forced regen, and a shit ton of dpf related codes coming up.

    • @sbrader97
      @sbrader97 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@NewFrontier90 might be some reason why it can't do a regen like bad thermostat etc or it's just full of ash already so might need to get it manually cleaned by removing it cheaper than buying a new one or even can try clean it yourself. Im surprised the dpf is blocked at that low of mileage usually go bad closer to 100k or above
