    I had the titanium version of this a few years ago. Such good value and cheap to run. I once managed to achieve 83mpg from Cheltenham to Birmingham on mostly motorways. Incredible fuel economy and comfortable. I’m in the market for a back up car as my daily drive is a van. Might get one of these again.

    I came across this model recently at one of my local dealers. I noticed it had the upgraded seats that are usually found in the titanium versions. I'm guessing they are quite rare in any Zetec model.
    I am actually torn between the Zetec s and the Titanium because the latter has all the extra toys in the cabin. Have to decide what's important to me.

    • @BarrieCrampton
      @BarrieCrampton  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      no i think that those seats were standard on the Zetec

    • @grahamd4764
      @grahamd4764 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Barry I owned a 1.8 Zetec back in 2010 with the same seats as the one in your video. In my experience they seem to be the standard in Zetecs and the S model- in this particular shape anyway.
      However I had not come across one with titanium seats before. I'm guessing there are more around but I'm sure they are not as prevalent as the tic tock grey and black seats that seem to be the standard ones in this model.

    • @BarrieCrampton

    Looking to buy a 09 plate 1.6 tdci with 89k miles on clock. Would I have any issues with DPF filters and turbo? Apparently really common fault and very expensive to repair. Just wondering what red flags to look out for on this.
    I do about 8-10k miles a year by the way. Mostly town driving with occasional carriageway/motorway.

    • @BarrieCrampton
      @BarrieCrampton  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      you need to be doing at least 1 journey of 25 to 50 miles every 14 days and shouldn't think you would have dpf problems, you can also buy additives which help keep the system clean. We have had 1 turbo problem and we have sold a lot of Fords so its like anything else people only complain about the bad things so you think they are more common than they actually are, also parts for Fords are very reasonable so won't cost a fortune to repair

      Fair enough, you learned to drive that way, and it suits you now, but it is really unsafe and difficult. Why should you have to use tips of your fingertips to change gear in first (or fifth in continental setting) instead of using core of fingers or even base of your palm?
      Not to mention that you have so less control over steering wheel as you are further from it...
