I'm somewhere around 1,000 years old and been playing bass for around 900 years! Sono is a truly trusted source. No matter where you are in the universe of Bass, you can NOT find a more trusted source, and pure passion, and honesty ❤️
I like how you focused more on the budget side. These Sires are amazing. There are indeed a lot of quality control issues, but I like how they are pushing or putting up some pressure on Squier/Fender to add features (like the rolled edges that Fender has added to their Player II series).
I LOOOOVE my lefty 5-string natural ash Z7! I didn't have any issues like you did when it arrived; everything functioned properly out of the box. The one thing I think that could improve it, a coil tap on the bridge pickup, you did! I think that might be on my agenda for 2025.
I have the Sire Z7 5str. Swamp Ash ! It’s the best bass i ever had and I am 75 and have had so many basses in my live . I love it !❤️ Thanks for great video and Happy new year !
I don’t have any issues with the neck pickup on my Z7, in fact it is my preferred one at the moment. I like the idea of the 3 way switch for the humbucker. Not having that option is the only negative for me on the bass.
It's definitely worth the mod but required a far more skilled technician to get that mod going. I'd look into it if you're wanting more tonal spice to pair well with your Z7 neck pickup and I'm pretty sure the stock humbucker on the Z7 has the 4-conductor wires to do that
2024 was good but so excited for 2025. Fender back at NAMM? American Pro II and Vintera II’s , Squier Paranormal Rascal and CV’s going on massive sales in the end of 2024 has me thinking they got some really cool stuff coming to NAMM.
The Z 7 looks naff with that jazz pick up @ the neck ... i own several Sire basses had troubles with a P8 i returned but hey ho ..they are my n1 instruments.. my american jazz fender is gathering dust 😂 . I'm sure tonally that Z 7 could be a game changer but the looks are a nono ... i'm a sucker from block inlays ... that squier looks awesome but i have a sneaky feeling it won't stand up to Sire standards ... i'd like to try one out purely for curiosity

@@davejones7475 Thank you kindly for the words, I am truly humbled. Happy New Year!
2024 was a bloody good year. Strong choices, not much to grouse about here! Can't wait to see what 2025 will have in store for us.
Agreed. Not a whole lot of bad basses in 2024. Cheers to 2025!
Well said!
I just bought the same z7 bass and it's quite possibly the best bass I own.

Thank you! I was really impressed with the amount of budget basses released in 2024 that I still need to review 🤩

i love how the sterling's neck and blue color contrast so well together
@@Jaxon322 Agreed! It’s one of my favorite colors from the Intro Series
Not an Epiphone guy, but that purple thunderbird is so nice.

Sire z3 really impressed me!! Happy new year from Italy 🎉😊
Happy New Year!
Literally just ordered myself a Squier Affinity Active bass as a 5 string version 2 days ago lol, so excited for it!
Congrats on your purchase!

I'll definitely keep y'all posted on what I see from the Fender booth at NAMM!
I picked up a few basses, but the only i kept was the pro series spectra 4 from Jackson.
The pro series are hands down the best from the Jackson lineup. A solid choice!
If Sire releases an HH version with a passive option, I'll be sold.
I just got an Ibanez EHB and no going back
Crazy how that affinity is far better then the sire straight out the box
@@killakicks It’s like they took turns in 2024 😅
I’ve been trying to get a fretless Z3 since they were released but they’re on back order.
Good luck! They sell out FAST 😭
Cort Space 5!
I love my Sire Z3
I would certainly include the fender jazz bass American ultra II !!
@@petervanpuyvelde8959 Yes! Surprisingly Fender did good in 2024
I think I need a thunderbird now. Maybe I’ll save for a Mike lull!
Mike Lull is the way 🫡
What have you got going on with the Intro mods?
So far a push pull volume knob for series/parallel and a Nordstrand MM pickup
@ nice I’m going to do the same but add a TBX, I’ve seen the EMG HZ is splittable with a solderless part you can use as a volume or tone.

Genuine question. Did you buy these basses with your own money or are you affiliated with the brands in even the slightest way?
None of the brands featured are affiliates, and all basses are personally purchased to ensure an honest and unbiased review.
"Murphy, where you get them colors? Are you dying them?!"

🤣🤣🤣
goddamn dude, it only took one note to hear the new order vibes in the yamaha bass.
Exactly 🦇⚰
