Grew up skating NC/SC and clay was the undisputed SC hometown hero. Didn't see him for a long time then went to Woodward in high-school and Clay put on a demo on the mini mega for the digital media campers. Absolutely mental. I couldn't believe the progression. The years following that were even more mind blowing. Definitely some of the heaviest insta clips of the last decade.
I'm from Spartanburg. I remember seeing him a handful of times at the Inman skatepark (04-07) and then a few times at No Name skatepark. When I first met him at the Inman park, he was probably 6 years old. This little dude with a helmet bigger than his head and a board almost as tall as he was and he absolutely killed it. Him being that good at such a young age burned into my memory. Fast forward to 2017, I just happened to watch the XGames and they mentioned "Clay, who's from all the way in Greenville, SC" and I was like wait what?!? Do I know this guy? Then they showed a close up of his face and I was like HOLY SH*T!!!! I KNOW THAT KID!!!
Always killed it. I use to skate with him at No Name and SPOG when he was tiny in sweat pants. Love to see him getting recognition he deserves for being gnarly!
Yo. I was at Vert attack when Clay was there! He ripped! He hit and smashed the lights in the ceiling and they had to sweep up the glass that fell down on the ramp. It was EPIC. Sweden wants Clay back!!! It was the first time I saw Chris Russel skate too. His disasters shook the building!
Anyone who saw tiny clay flying around at no name knew he was going places 🔥 he was the man as a baby. we’ve all been stoked on him FOREVER!!! Also cool af dude beyond the skating.
Best episode in a while! I'm glad someone actually talked about Mitchie's 1260 and that he shouted out Gary Ream. Fans of skateboarding tell these great stories and Clay's are spot on.
This dude was a rad interview. I didn''t know he was the cat that blasted wall to wall across the expanse of the round pool at the Combi. Now I know 🤙 .. the dude seems rad and you 9 Club boys did a great job with this show 👍
YES FINALLY IT HAPPENED THE MAN THE MYTH THE LEGEND HIMSELF CLAY MF KREINER BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE FOR EVER NOW AND ITS FINALLY HERE 😍💚🙏🐐🍻 #kingofthemega #southcakafinest #thelegendhimself
23:05 Fun fact, I watched Mitchie skate at rain city skatepark in WA when he was like 8-10 and I was 14. I remember watching him shred the half pipe and knew he would be pro one day, everyone knew. No one expected the 1260 though lol such a savage!!
Same! I was probably around the same age and Mitchie had to be 8ish. He showed up to the old pre-fab Bothell, WA skatepark and yeah everyone just stopped and watched. And here i was scared as hell just to drop in haha
men !!! clay is the best G i know him in the riviera maya woodward and i see him fly in my face into the vert really impresive and aslo amazing person!
We stopped selling madness inmediately after the whole Bill thing happened, and listening to this.. we know we did the right thing. lots of love for this dude.
I fucking follow that dude on insta for so long. He is THE coolest skater. Bro he fucking rips bowls like no other. Him and Elliot are crazy I didn’t even know he did vert 😂
Doubt Clay sees this comment, but he should definitely build out his own little cement area and take the pieces of cement from bonsai he has and graft them into a transition. That would be a badass way to memorialize those pieces
Tried playing the homies/ grom drinking game but i was wasted it 10 minutes. Like, fkn hilarious, like, listening to this whiteboy talk, like. But mfkr rips, cant deny that
Literally the best episode in a while, absolutely love Clay man!
Nice interview with a guy that seems to be authentic and having his best life

I worked at No Name for a while and Clay was always insane to watch even as a kid. I was happy as hell to see how far he took skating.
Clay was in my cabin Woodward in like 2014 always good vibes and killed it on the mini mega and street
I still watch his Delusional part quite often. Some of the greatest skating I've ever seen.
Yoo you need Mitchie on the show now!
Clay’s skating at Vert Attack is some of the most impressive I’ve ever seen. Padless and going all out!
Long awaited! One of the sickest styles, most wild tricks
I remember watching a 9 year old clay rip the big half pipe at no name skatepark! Congrats to all your success my guy!

Best episode for a while. Love his attitude. I see the Olympic dad at skateparks too much now. Kids are just going to give up, keep skating fun.

I know its primarily street focused, but consider getting more vert skaters. Gui khury and Mitchie especially need to come on as guests

Clay Kreiner is Greyson Fletcher's step bro. Clay stole all the household grooming products_that's why Greyson looks like an extra on a caveman movie🤣

Anyone else see/hear Sean O’Malley in him?😂
