I think it's just because people are tired of the your favorite holiday or childhood icon is now a murderer trope. But I agree it was a decent movie I enjoyed it

The jim carrey grinch alway the best grinch to me and the original cartoon special, fuck the illumination grinch TERRIBLE...and yes the grinch horror movie is BAD but its so bad cheesy like the jack frost series that u want to keep watching the grinch kill. When i saw the grinch horror movie was coming i thought they were getting fought and sued big time ☠️ Atleast i enjoyed the mean one compared to the shitty illumination grinch, and how ironic after the movie released the creator she died,shortly after its release.. jim carrey said he would do another grincj but noone has offered a script or anything yet... grinch 2 needs to happen..
@t0_031 The live-action film is certainly the best version, with the animated TV special being the 2nd best. I wouldn't say that the animated film is awful or even bad, but it certainly pales in comparison to the live-action film. The animated film's ending scene is pretty nice, but it lacks the Grinch carving the roast beast.
