  • Vegan and keto lazy what I eat in a day :) It’s lazy keto as I am not tracking macros, but everything will be high fat and low carb to keep my ketones up and also everything will be vegan. I mix this lazy vegan keto with intermittent fasting and I usually have an 18 hour fast, with a 6 hour eating window. this is currently working well in quarantine, although I do prefer to have a much smaller eating window usually.
    In the morning on a vegan ketogenic diet, I don’t break my fast until lunchtime, so I have a black coffee and water to start the day. At lunch I make a tofu and cauliflower salad and show you how to get the fats up and keep in the carbs low. Richie and I have some vegan keto cakes at the moment too… this is such a treat and not something that we include in our keto diet regularly… But they are SO good, especially when you have been doing keto for a while and need a bit of cakey-ness in your life!
    At the moment I’m keeping my workouts quite gentle and restorative, so I get a little yoga practise in and then have a chia seed pudding as a vegan keto snack that I made the night before. here is a vegan keto chia seed pushing recipe is you want to try it yourself and I have the macros included in that here: hmfyoga.com/blo...
    Our vegan keto dinner was some bird eye vegan burgers and some roasted veg :) As you can see this is a very lazy way to do a vegan ketogenic diet, but it works for me. I would encourage anyone new to this way of eating to stick with macro counting until you feel confident about quantities and nutrients. Oh and don’t forget your electrolytes! Stay salty :)

    Thank you so much good idea!!!! I started intermittent fasting and low carb diet. Now I'm doing keto and Vegan but it's not easy! I've lost 75 pounds in 13 months. I feel great. I have still 100 more left. But I'm doing it !!!! I love your channel :) I want to eat even more veggies n fruit.

    I love these videos, they are really helpful as I'm trying out Keto for weight loss, and it's hard to find a vegan who does Keto. I know you don't do this anymore, but I'm really sad most of your videos on Keto have now disappeared, as I keep coming back to them to get motivated.     Just found your channel. This is the perfect vlog for me right now. I lost 112 pounds on a ketogenic diet. I have 50 more to lose but just underwent quadruple bypass surgery and my cardiologist is strongly suggesting I go WFPB, a little scary for me as I am also diabetic. Going Vegan Keto!?!     I’ve done regular keto. I’m on day 4 and I just caved and ate pasta. I’m constantly starving! I don’t recall feeling like this doing tradition keto 😩

    I have chronic health issues which mean I need to restrict my diet but it is hard being vegan. This has helped so much for ideas. Just about to do the salad and have bought some burgers in too 😊

    I’m getting back into vegan keto today! So this video is perfect to watch while sipping my oat milk coffee 😆 what sort of app do you use to chart your cycle? I’m wanting to get off hormonal birth control and like to see what other vegans are using. Been loving your videos!!

    Love that recipe it looks delicious. I would lightly toast the pine nuts with the tofu and sesame oil. The flavour of pine nuts when toasted is wonderful. Thank you I will be trying this recipe tonight :D

      @@WellWithHels I'm pretty lazy because I'm working and studying full-time through isolation, so I love a superfood salad with chickn or tofu with a ginger miso dressing with sesame and hemp seeds 😋 or a bowel of baked cauli and red onion, tofu, with spiced chickpeas, italian parsley and a lemon tahini dressing! 💖

    I feel like we’ve both gone back and forth from a vegan Keto diet at similar times 😅 I remember you making a lentil bolognese while I was still doing it and it was the straw that broke the camels back haha. one thing I did wrong last time was to get too caught up with being in ‘Keto’ and ate too much processed foods and cut out veggies that I love like tomatoes. Can be way more consistent with dirty Keto!

Had a carb up meal last night and don't feel awful, actually it's made me excited to eat my keto-ey food today :) Those old vlogs where I was having lentil bologense and porridge everyday (although delicious) my stomach and skin were not enjoying it haha! hope you're safe and well Sarah x

      Hi I am at the same place.. Did really well for 1st month.. Have never used any test for keto, but my body felt better / lighter & came of tablets for arthritis.. My problem is bread.. :( ... I will keep trying as my body feels so much better.. when I do keto properly :)

    I’m happy to find this after the study that was published saying keto is not healthy even for weight loss because of the lack of colorful high card veggies and the heavy reliance on deli meats and meat and unhealthy fats.

    I make kale the same way, but I also have dried garlic and dried onionpowder on it 😁 I also roast it a bit harder (I hope I am not killing the nutrients), I L O V E it 😀 Have the same electrolytes as you, but now the rules regarding toll has changed here, so I hardly can order anything.....oh well 😊I admire your self-discipline on not eating after 6 PM, I find it so hard :p I did try a 24 hour fast the other day, it went ok! I will try it again, it is supposed to be very good. I have taken on your "habit" of pouring flaxseeds on top of foods, so thank you! 😁😁

    It's not possible to adhere to the keto diet long term and stay healthy. I tried it, and it was awful. I recommend the Agoge diet though, because it is diverse and will help you get rid of fat without starving yourself.

    Hey, I’d love to know how you might change your diet between the folicular and luteal phase , regarding the changes in hormones? Because it’s something I’m struggling with, as complex carbs are really needed for progesterone production so I’m scared about ruining my hormone system/cycle.... has it effected it? thanks

When I first started eating this way, my cycle was messed up, definitely for the first month.... I think it was something like 34 days which is REALLY long for me! Then whilst eating keto my cycle was the most regular it's ever been and now I've stopped it's stayed very regular, which I am SO happy about! I think Dr Mindy on YT has some videos for women on how to eat for the phases of your cycle, might be worth checking out! x x x

    I keep buying tofu and never cooking it and just throw it out when it expires. It's very sad. Can't really understand why I don't bring yself to eat it.

      I understand that, I used to really dislike tofu. I have a curry recipe with tofu you might like on my website... or have a google on how to make crispy, baked tofu :) That really helped me with the texture x

    Sempre pensei em elaborar numa dieta assim, sem produtos de fonte animal e sem carboidratos. Porém também sem conservantes, sem frituras, grãos apenas geminados, todos alimentos preparado numa temperatura que não passe de 42 graus celsius. Acredito que já seja possível eu montar essa dieta, porém ainda dependeria de suplementos alimentares (o que não é ruin) mas continuo em busca da dieta perfeita, acredito que estes suplementos possa ser substitutos por algumas cascas, raízes e folhas de algumas plantas e árvores, porém difícil é encontrar estas tal árvores e plantas.

      Hey! It's just kale on a baking tray with olive oil and salt and pepper... I usually do mine on a high heat and watch it go crispy... I say watch it, because it literally takes no time at all and is easy to burn! Enjoy! x

      They are VERY important on keto, definitely have a read before starting. They will also help you to avoid the 'keto flu' or 'keto rash'. On lower carb diets you loose a lot of electrolytes, but they are so important for you body to function and you will feel pretty rubbish if they get low. Hope that helps and good luck! xx

      Very strict people tend to keep it between 20-30grams (I did when I first did vegan keto...helps your body to adapt). But depending on your activity level you might find you can tolerate more carbs and still remain in ketosis. Hope that helps x

    The other issue is - non organic soya contributes to eustrogen dominance which is what soooo many of us have, if we were on the microgynan pill through the years... and soooo many vegan products have soya in them. Ahhhh, so hard.
