Auto park-it’s all about alignment adjacent to yellow lines

It’s not ready for prime time! I navigated to a Supercharger yesterday and the car just circled the charger adjacent gas station twice, got confused, and shut off 😂
Really, that sucks. I definitely would have to see how it reacts in snow before purchasing.
@@MyModelY Here on TH-cam a guy in Canada tested v12.3.3 with light snow on the ground. 10 human interventions needed, on a short drive!
A human would have *easily* handled that trip.
@@DerekDavis213 the city I live in has very little lines on the road to start off with. Plus the plows are nonexistent. Probably useless in the winter.
@@MyModelY Humans can drive just fine with no lines on the road, and if the road isn't plowed either. That is the human mind and human eyes, working together.
In comparison, FSD is a simple minded Level 2 assistant. Nothing more.

FSD cannot pull straight into a parking spot.
FSD also cannot handle *diagonal* parking spots.
FSD still has a long ways to go.
I should test those theories.
