Before attaching the head you drilled a hole in the wood. Ive never seen that done before. Was it just to mark how far down you needed to saw? Reservoir for the extra wood glue? Some other purpose?
Hi, The hole I drilled like this helps prevent the wood from breaking and stops the breakage from extending down the hammer body when I saw and hammered in the dowel.🙂
