    just remember for those entering parts A and B, some will get it automatically through social sercurtiy and others will have to enroll by phone etc..... and both A and B cover quite a bit, so if you dicide to get for example part D on the side that's for Rx drugs. and I think that's the least costly of them, but you have to dicide which plan on the side fits your individual needs , good luck.

    What many/most companies or people giving advice almost never say when asked how to choose the best plan is to answer them like this: Sit down, remove all distractions, go online pull up the plans in your state and start comparing. It is SOOOOO easy, but you have to know yourself, know what plans YOUR doctors accept, and be objective about what you yourself need in terms of coverage. Btw, the first thing you gotta find out is if YOUR doctor(s) accept your potential plan choices. Learn the difference between Medicare Advantage and Medigap. Many doctors in many areas of the country do NOT accept Medicare Advantage, so in those cases Medigap is the best choice from the beginning. Parts A and B cover 80%. You gotta fill that remaining 20%. You then gotta figure what you can afford and mix that with what each plan offers. Do NOT buy a plan solely on price. That's just shorting your particular health at some point in the future. You can pay a median amount now and in the near future, or you can pay MAJOR later as you go through something catastrophic. CHOOSE.

    You do a great job. I don't understand, however, why you don't explain why someone would not choose Plan D over Plan N. According to the chart that you show, Plan D offers more than Plan N. Why not choose Plan D over Plan N?

    • @AbtInsuranceAgency
      @AbtInsuranceAgency  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Plan D isn't offered in every state or by every insurance company, and in many areas it is priced significantly higher than Plan N and sometimes priced higher than Plan G. Whether or not Plan D is a good value will depend on your area.

    Hello everyone! Well I'm on "TRICARE PRIME" right now and my premium is only $229.92 with a co pay of$12.00 but i was told that once that i turn 65 my TRICARE PRIME will become TRICARE FOR LIFE" and that i don't have to pay the Premium anymore an it will become my second insurance, and whatever Medicare part A-B that's not cover then my TRICARE FOR LIFE well pay the different. My question is that true? I just turn 60 an i just start receiving social security widow benefit just want to know if it's true. Thank you!

    have one question to you.. I am going to be 65 in August . currently, I
    have health insurance that cover under my wife insurance.. she works
    at NiH cancer research center. her health is O K for me so far . she
    is 53 years old . She is able to work at least 11 years to become 65..
    my question is .... Do I still need to get medicare and and Medigap when
    I turn to 65 ? please give me yous suggestion ?? Thank you .

    • @AbtInsuranceAgency
      @AbtInsuranceAgency  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      As long as your wife is actively employed then you can delay enrolling in Medicare Part B. When you do enroll in Part B you will have an Open Enrollment window for Medicare Supplement insurance. However, it would be worthwhile to look at her employer health plan, the deductibles and the monthly cost to have you on the plan, and then compare that to what your costs would be if you transition to Medicare at age 65.
      If you need any help comparing your options, or comparing Medigap plans and prices, please give me a call! 888-465-9728 or stephanie@abtinsuranceagency.com

    Living in Connecticut there is also a plan called FHD (High Deductible )are you familiar with this and would you suggest this as an alternative to G or N

    • @AbtInsuranceAgency
      @AbtInsuranceAgency  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on your area. In many states pricing for High Deductible Plan F is not that much lower than Plan N, making Plan N a better overall choice. In many areas in your state the price difference between Plan N and HDF can be $100 or more/month, making HDF a more attractive alternative to folks that are looking to save on monthly premiums and don't mind a high deductible health plan. With HDF, of course there is no coverage until you've met the annual deductible. I'd be happy to pull specific quotes for you to help you review your options if you'd like!

    For example, if you select plan G. can you change your plan a month later? 6 month later? one year later? meaning...is there lock in time you have to be in before you can change supplement plan?

    • @AbtInsuranceAgency
      @AbtInsuranceAgency  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a 6 month "open enrollment" window that you get when you first turn 65 or first go onto Medicare Part B when you can get any Medicare Supplement Plan with any carrier, no medical underwriting. After that window is up, you can change Medicare Supplement Plans at any time of the year pending medical underwriting. For more information, -- th-cam.com/video/UbNv1kIn9GI/w-d-xo.html

    Potential Excess charges on plan N could be tricky?

    • @AbtInsuranceAgency
      @AbtInsuranceAgency  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Daniel excess charges are pretty rare - it’s estimated that 96% of Medicare doctors do accept Medicare as payment in full so they would not bill excess charges. But if they concern you then Plan G could be a good option!
