As a New Yorker from The Bronx, I have to be very cautious how much I spend in the city. It all depends on the week, going in person to work, and how much I go outside to be honest. Thank you for being transparent. You do spend a reasonable amount. It’s still a lot, but welcome to NYC, especially in the tourist areas🥲!

Although I never know what to say about the social infrastructure for African American s in stem and pathways that are sustainable for them throughout their lifespan. Like I had to look and it seems like not enough. Like from my limited understanding of web2 and web3 like in the med space where are the doctors, pharmacist, conglomerates for black Americans. I found i believe jasmine green md or phd. And that took years. And also dr. Dorothy e. Roberts. But even as i navigate mental health space it’s difficult to find mental health professional s who are African American.
I thought paying $30 for Wendy's once on Ubereats was too much wtf!!

I was just wondering if you could give me tips or pointers going into tech
I am 18 years old, in Scotland 🏴 and I will be starting university in September studying computer science. Do you have any tips in general for that specific first 1-2 years while studying that area?
Also down the line I want to transition into cyber security. My main goals are to get really good in that cyber area, and to earn lots and lots of money.
Would you have any tips for me so I can get ahead of the field, or achieve these goals the early as possible.

I’m just coming to the end of my cs degree in the UK and finishing the top of my course.
If I could do one thing different, I’d apply for a summer internship for the summer between year 1 and 2. The FAANG internships open around 12 months before you’d be due to start, i.e. if you wanted to apply for one for summer 2024, you’d have to apply this summer.
Other than that, master your main procedural programming and object oriented programming modules in first year and that will set you up well.
Bonus: if you have a placement year, apply for a company you’d like to work at as a graduate because they’ll probably give you a grad offer.

He is living a luxury life, sushi is not a meal necessity smh 🤦🏽♀️ I wonder if he has a retirement pension plan or invests in the stock mart? He can save thousands of dollars & eventually have enough of a down payment for a condo in Queens or Long Island, NY instead of spending so much money to live in the city. Just crazy ! By the way I am 60 years old born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Long Island ny the past 27 years. So I know for a fact he can spend a lot less if he budgets his money better and makes some of his meals at home! The rents all over New York including in the suburbs is ridiculous, but he can use his funds more efficiently by saving & buying a condo, especially since he has a remote job! Smh 🤦🏽♀️
