    For the people dismissing the podcast by saying, "No Varun Thakur, won't watch it," watch the podcast and make a judgement. This is one of the best podcasts SnG has done, in terms of the topic, the guest, and the quality of discussion.

    Best podcast from SnG for a reason:
    1. They allowed guest to speak
    2. Unnecessary Kautuk teasing was not there
    Please guys, let them speak. You ruined Jose episode..

Thank you

    One of the best podcasts from sng. Because of these reasons:
    A. Varun was not there- he brings too much unnecessary energy and personalized stories to the table which derails the topic of discussion.
    B. Everyone was allowed to speak and it was not just random dudes discussing their stories.
    C. Good guest who actually knows what he is talking about and challenge the thoughts of sng team as well.
    We've been watching sng podcasts for so long not because we love seeing 4 guys laugh and joke about stuff but to also to get a different perspective for the topic in discussion.
    Keep up the good work!

    Always found genetics to be a bogus excuse. If a PV Sindhu or a virat Kohli can be the fittest practitioners of their professions, so can other Indians. Elite athletes exist at the top of the pyramid. How many kids in India are given a chance to excel at a sport they are talented in? Increase participation and you will see more champions.

    • @manitsahu
      @manitsahu 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      also, wrestling is something we are good at, so that whole argument falls apart.

    • @aniketrudraksha
      @aniketrudraksha 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sai Krishna you’re kind of right with your point and yeah Kohli is pretty fit but he isn’t the fittest cricketer.

    • @anshuljain8515
      @anshuljain8515 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      It is an extremely valid argument and the success of an athlete depends heavily on the sport as well. When the average height of Indians is below 5ft 10 inches, it is a rarity to find tall enough people with enough athletic ability to compete with the best basketball players in the world. We don't see a lot of successful footballers because most of our country doesn't have enough protein in their diet to reach that level of athleticism. It isn't directly about genetics but it is years of accumulation of traits and high levels of malnutrition that cause this.
      I don't mean to offend you but Virat Kohli might be extremely fit to play cricket but he won't be able to handle basketball or football. Those sports are much more physically demanding in terms of explosive strength and stamina as compared to cricket where the game goes on for hours at a relatively slower pace.

    • @vadlamudisaikrishna
      @vadlamudisaikrishna 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Anshul Jain what you are hinting at is the nature vs nurture debate. The average height of indian male is 5feet 5 inches compared to 5'10" for an American. But that is immaterial. Champions are not average. With just the amount of people we have don't you think that if given a chance people with natural athletic attributes will surface? Great khali was a stone breaker before he was discovered. I will concede that cricket is not as physical a sport as basketball but you can see Indians excelling at a sport like badminton. If diet and training are taken care of, there is no reason why we can't have champions. And that disproves the hypothesis that we are not genetically suited for sport.

    how i wish a 500 ATP tournament start in India. we don't even get to see the top 10 tennis players let alone federe or nadal😔. lol and there is like zero wta tournaments but Sania is former top 30 singles and worl no 1 in doubles 😑but its the same thing. international recognation can only be there when there is enough representation on the international stage day in day out. thats y sindhu or saina are household name and no one forgets them not just olympic medals they have backed it up with super series titles(i think thats what they called). and most of the so called govt backing is megre. a tennis player like roger federer became solely on govt backing in the beginning. offcourse u need talent but withought proper monetary help its a struggle for the players outside the top 100-150

    @shashanks3538 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm not some expert sports analyst but when Gaurav Kapur said that" when we all are 5ft tall how can we be good at basketball " and this statement is completely false as our height advantage is the only thing other Asian basketball powerhouse takes into consideration and suprisingly our weakness is small men who are the controller of the ball and our big men are our strength. Our height is the envy of others. This shows us how much lack of faith we have in our own capabilities. Especially physical capabilities.
