That’s exactly what I was thinking. Huge props to her Dad for that. As most would have. For different reasons I understand. Maybe they feel insecure, maybe they felt embarrassed while they were trying to recorded the video, maybe the lil one has dirty hands lol who knows. I totally get your initial reaction is to just say hey sweetie please stop Thank you. Which is ok as well as kids need to learn boundaries as that is important. We know. But I just couldn’t help but think how sweet their relationship must be and how awesome it is for her to have a daddy like that. It was very sweet to see. 😊🙌🏼 Well done Dad. You’re doing such an awesome job. Mom too of course. As she seems like such a lil sweetheart. Especially at the end when she thought she maybe hurt him or did something wrong and straight away was like oh sorry. Ugh so sweet. 😊💖

But I tried to mention both side by also saying some might say they don’t want them touching their face right now. Which is also fine. As we all have our own boundaries and even kids have to abide by them. I was more so meaning parents that just automatically tell their kids to not touch them out of annoyance. My niece had this happen. They are just leaving it and letting it fall out. It happened when she was like 3, and we figure it should fall out early on in elementary school before other kids really start to notice it’s different and might tease her over it. Pictures can be edited and if teasing does start before the tooth falls out, then they can always have it capped too.
My son had those many years ago and his "caps" or jacket crowns were more of a problem then his discoloration. They were constantly falling off, being they were his baby teeth, we let them be. He was at the age where he was going to lose them soon anyway.
If I was a kid I’d be so psyched to have a purple tooth are you kidding. That’s so cool! Putting a white cover on it would be an extra trip to the dentist to make it look less cool, which is just terrible all round. I get if it was black but it actually looks purple.
I had the exact same thing happen on the same tooth. Growing up poor, I had one option: wait for the baby tooth to fall out. 😂 I think it lightens over time though- when I look at Kindergarten photos it was a very pale grey shade that was only slightly darker than the rest of my teeth. It's not something I recall getting much attention over so it didn't negatively effect me in any way (like socially).
She is still a beautiful human being and she will have a new tooth soon so be patient and be careful. In other words, leave it alone til she loses it and teach her those two lessons all who work in dentistry would love for kiddos to learn (I work as support staff in a top tier University Endodontic Residency Clinic).
I got hit in the face with a seesaw at daycare and the exact same tooth “died” and turned grey. Finally fell out at 12 and my adult tooth came in fine.

I don’t remember how long it stayed purple or if we covered it up, but I know didn't lose that tooth until I was 6 hahaha
It’s totally okay! I had a purple tooth growing up and we (my family) just waited until I lost that tooth. So as long as she is okay with it being purple then I would recommend just leaving it alone.
That happened to my son at about 18 months old. Then at age 6 when teeth should be starting to fall out, that one tooth’s root wasn’t decaying so that it could fall out naturally and had to be pulled. He never had any pain or issues with it though.

My daughter did this to her baby front tooth also! We had a swing set in our yard with plastic seats. My little girl was trying to get the swing to go completely all the way around the top of the swing set. The plastic seat struck her in the mouth splitting her gums and forcing the baby tooth out root and all. She also had a top jaw fracture that went up to her nose in a squiggle line. At the time we were not sure if there was damage to her adult tooth but a few years later we found out that she had unfortunately damaged it and it was a dark gray when it started to emerge. Once completely out she had the inside bleaching done you had described and the root removed. Her tooth is dead but they did an awesome job and you would never know it.
I had this when I was a kid. I fell face first, and had a black tooth. When we went to the dentist for it, our dentist old is that it was blood that had went down into the tooth to heal it, and the body would then be reabsorb that blood over the course of like a month or so. Worked out good, no procedures or problems. I hope your little one get back on the flip side soon! Best of luck!
