I'm really surprised that all you have to do, besides swap magazines, is drop in a new BCG. I'd expect one would also have to swap out the recoil spring and buffer.
I have a very old Colt 22lr conversion bolt & magazine. I can't find the mag and the bolt broke. 1 of the 3 extractors blew off when the extractor ruptured a case. The magazine was horrible. It jammed all the time & only held 10 rounds. Do you know if the new Colt kit will work with the CMMG & Blackdog magazines?
How did this run in your AR? I'm looking to get two, one for my self-built PSA M4 Carbine rifle and one for my wife's Springfield Armory Saint Victor AR pistol
I think so, unless they just get made at the same factory. It looks like colt is just putting their logo on the CMMG one but maybe there is a difference

There is no movement of the bolt carrier when shooting with .22lr like there is with 5.56mm/.223.

Mine dose not seat at all in my ruger so far super let down as they were a bday gift
@rudycastro9341 that is unfortunate but not surprising. Ruger's have some dimensional differences compared to Colt.
