Insomnicsy released a video about Dreamcatcher and Minx situation nowdays, but as far as i know: Jiu likes the cute concept thing, but said that the girls got really depressed after the disband. Sua likes to joke abt it, but as the others had a hard time back then. Siyeon said she wasn't happy with that music and that concept and got really depressed and stressed, but with Dreamcatcher she's happy (she was part of a rock band at school). Yoohyeon cringes at Minx songs and after the disband she used to hangout a lot with Siyeon to play games and ignore the stress. Dami absolutely cringe at Minx and pretend that never happend.
Siyeon said she was in a band, never said it was a rock band. It could've been punk, pop, or any other genre. It was in fact a high school band. But she was/is indeed a fan of rock music.
Dami does still cringe somewhat, but I think she's learned to love it along with the rest of them. In fact a while back when most of them were dancing to Love Shake in their dressing room (Siyeon was a captive audience getting her makeup done 😜)... Dami was the one _playing_ the music on her phone! 🤣

Minx was a dark era for the members cause they really lost all hope during those times. But don't worry, cause right now they can joke about it and even danced to Love Shake on Weekly Idol.
PS: I will never shut up about how the transition and the decision to turn Minx into Dreamcatcher is probably the boldest and riskiest move ever done in kpop. Dreamcatcher debuted during the time when dark girlgroups and rock music in Kpop was unheard of. And to think that it paid off so well (after so much hardships), is EVEN more mindblowing.

i think now, sua has come to terms with the cute concept of minx since both her and jiu wanted to dance to it in weekly idol lol. siyeon, dami, and yoohyeon have stated multiple times that they never really liked the concept of minx (which is totally fair) but they dont seem to cringe at it as much as they did before
but that doesn't mean somnia's should bring it up 24/7. its kinda a spoken rule now in the fandom to not bring it up to any of the members (although there are some who bring it up to them anyways smh)
Recently they have been more accepting of their Minx era, though they have always said, without Minx there wouldn't have been a Dreamcatcher. During one of the recent concerts, they actually did the complete Love Shake (the Weekly Idol version was cut short), with the cute costumes, and Gahyeon, and Handong got to do something they have been wanting to do, which is perform this with the rest of the members. There is a video on youtube so you can see it.
Be an Insomnia, we are well fed fandom tbh. I means, everyday i watch dreamcatcher's related content but still, there is always something thats new that I havent watch. From DC notes to Vlogs, its just a lot.
Minx, its a dark time for them, especially Siyeon and Dami. But sometimes, they sing a bit of their song from Minx time and its so funny atleast to me. But I'm glad that recently, they performed Love Shake on Weekly Idol. Seeing them doing it makes me happy as they finally able to escape from the dark time and Dreamcatcher definitely their golden time 🤟🏻

InSomnia such a well fed fandom...you'll get to see a lot of DreamCatcher's content & update here and there in every platform they have for now, like TH-cam, Facebook, Instagram, Weverse and even Tik Tok...they update almost everything, including photos/ videos of their beloved pets...;P

Its very informative if you want to know more about their past and stuff, only thing is that it is not current, it only goes to around their 2020 year (at their "Deja Vu" era, before the dystopia trilogy). I highly recommend it.
Oh and also, they do have an official youtube channel as well, you can watch their reality show "dreamcatcher mind" on there (all 10 episodes), vlogs and behind the scenes (aka dreamcatchers note).

Something I haven't seen mentioned yet are the SuA, Siyeon, Yoohyeon covers; "Really Really" (Winner) and "What To Do" (Seventeen). They steal the songs as is Dreamcatcher tradition. Minx were the days with lots of tough memories when their dreams weren't working out after all those years of training. Watching the m/v's is fine and their wins have helped, but that period is more bygone for some members than others and none of them like when others define them by the Minx days.
Minx is, ironically, Dreamcatcher’s dark past. Simply playing Minx songs is enough to send Dreamcatcher into lockdown and they vehemently turned down suggestions to try another cute concept. I know Siyeon and Dami really dislike that era. Handong and Gahyeon on the other hand love teasing the other five about it.
They might have come to terms with their Minx days since they recently did a dance cover of Love Shake as per the request of three members. However, I’m not too sure. It’s best to keep mentions of Minx on the down-low unless you’re trying to shock new fans.

I..uh.. kinda liked "Why Did You Come To My Home?" nonironically. Love Shake I love ironically.
This is series will help you get to know them all a bit more and im sure by the end of it u will have most of them down. When i first got into them i used to confuse JiU with Yoohyeon at first but a good way t distingish them is their voice, Jiu has the softest and most high pitched of them all, and after i got JiU down i started to confuse Yooh with Handong especially in some of their later songs but again Handong has a deeper voice in my oppioin. Its funny cuz Yooh is my biased but i clearly struggled with her at first lol.
Deja Vu is a masterpiece, the song is one of my favrouites and the MV is soooo good. Also can't lie the JiYoo storyline makes it even better for me since they are my 2 biases in the group.
Looking forward to you continuing their title tracks and the this is series! As for their youtube channel, they know that they have a lot of international fans so they usually put up English subs for their stuff. Definitely check out the Dreamcatcher Mind episodes, and self MVs.
Their My House cover - 2pm is one of my favs, them in suits........ yeah its amazing.

idk how did you plan to check this is series, but the 2020 is the OG ones, 2021 arguably the best version, 2022 is the most fresh ones because so many new clips

They recently danced to Minx - Love Shake on Weekly Idol. I have no idea how they convinced them all (especially Siyeon and Dami) to do it. I'm pretty sure Handong and Gahyeon had to learn the dance when they were trainees so they tend to tease the other members sometimes with the dance moves.
The idol radio ep with hohong is really cute and dreamcatcher are part time comedians so the ep wasn’t awkward at all they had so much fun 🤩 it’s been a dream to have the sibling groups together since we learned about the producers ❤️

Also I'd suggest you to watch the This Is series not in series order (like the whole 2020 version- whole 2021- whole 2022) but in members order (JiU 2020, 2021, 2022 version- SuA 2020, 2021, 2022 version- ecc...) doing a video for each member (idk if what i said makes sense but i hope it was understandable). I'm so happy you're loving this group because I swear these girls are a mixure of talent,chaos and sweetness that you just cannot dislike😩

As for the haunted house clip you wanted to watch that is from Dreamcatcher Mind, their reality show. All episodes are on TH-cam yes and they have Eng subs. Definitely worth watching. There's 10 episodes but it really helps you get to know their personalities SO well and help with a Bias choice. - although, Dreamcatcher is literally a group of 7 biases and Bias wreckers 🤣 constantly changes.

Just so you know, they have a online concert (if I'm concert with live band) this Sunday, its on "my music taste" (it is paid but if you want to see them with live band you may consider it 😁😉)
Edit: On your question about the Minx songs until a few weeks ago they pretended that Minx didn't happen... But in their last weekly idol appearance, something special happened, not gonna spoil it but it has to do with Minx 😜.

they don't really like minx concept, siyeon say dreamcatcher is the type of music that she want to pursue(she used to be part of rock band on highschool). i don't think back then 're-debut' exist. so dreamcatcher beeing girl group from small company and redebut able to be this successful is a pretty huge deal

No they weren't really fond of their "cute" concept, especially Siyeon and Dami. Siyeon talked about how depressed she was during these times, she joined an agency hoping to be a singer (she even was in a band for 5 years when she was a teen), but ended up in this cutesy concept that really wasn't showcasing her vocals
I would not say it did not showcase her vocals. The title tracks showed off her vocals like crazy but it definitely wasn't the style she enjoyed. Pretty much agree with everything else!

At that time there were two concepts in Kpop girl groups, cute or sexy. Minx were too young to do sexy so cute was it. They had no choice, and Happyface didn't do sexy anyway.They were lucky to even get into a company as trainees much less debut. Dami and Sua both left their previous companies because they were not allowed to debut, Yoohyeon left her previous company because of the way trainees were treated, and most of them had auditioned for the big agencies and failed. Siyeon had been told by a dance instructor that she should get a different line of work, so debuting as Minx was a miracle in itself. What they did as Minx taught them the discipline and skills that you saw when they debuted as Dreamcatcher.
@@mrjackpots1326 I don't completely get what you want to say, since all the personal talent issues you mentioned were already ironed out with Minx' debut. That's what they trained for. So yes technically debuting in another group is the best preparation for a re-debut, but they were really talented beforehand. Happyface knew exactly why they chose these girls and then stuck with them for Dreamcatcher. If Minx was from a bigger company they would've done better but even then, it was ultimately the concept and the overload of cute and sexy at that time that just didn't make them stick out.

Minx... well they sexualized dami and yoohyeon, and they were minors so is a really problematic era.
As per for the members well:
*Siyeon was not happy with that concept, she said that it was not "herself" and now she is very happy with dreamcatcher. Still when minx disbanded she was really sad and she didn't want to watch performances because she was thinking on how her dream was ruined.
*Jiu doesn't seem to hate it.
*dami, sua and yoohyeon cringe over that era all the time when they hear the songs
