I really enjoy these training videos and you do a great job. Couple questions maybe you could address in upcoming videos: 1. What to do when you lose sight of the bogey/bandit and/or wingman. This seems to be a common problem in DCS due to different graphics quality, experience, etc. and we should have a game plan for when, not if, that happens. 2. What if you are the single against two bandits? 3. 2v2 engagements. Thank you so much for doing these videos.
Those are great questions. The next video should help out with answering them. Its specifically about multiple bandits and spotting them as they come in.
Tried this out last night with a friend and we were amazed how effective it is. Were consistently managing to splash the bandit seconds after the merge. Excellent vid, thanks!
Hello! is there any book or books you recommend for learning to fly an airplane and also air combat skills and concepts. Interested in both jets and props. Thanks
Robert Shaw's Fighter Combat is going to be the definitive air combat skills book. For basic flying skills I recommend the Pilot's Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge which is free on the FAA's website: www.faa.gov/regulations_policies/handbooks_manuals/aviation/phak
Hi Mike, -do you have any advice: I'm trying to make your mission work with two F/A-18Cs as the fighters, but it is not working in single player mode, nor in multiplayer mode on a dedicated server. Any ideas? (Most of my virtual squadron players don't have the F5E..)- EDIT/UPDATE: I fixed the problem by "reloading" the lua file and moose.lua in the mission editor. This is really great, will help my squadron immensly!
This series and the BFM series are all from the following USAF publication: static.e-publishing.af.mil/production/1/aetc/publication/aetcttp11-1/aetcttp11-1.pdf
@@TheOpsCenterByMikeSolyom Thank you very much ! I am now learning the F-16CM on DCS and it is very easy to find all types of Navy CNATRA's A thru Z. I have had a little harder finding the dash 1's of the Air force. the real issue I have is finding some one that wants to do these exercises with me. fortunately I have been able to figure out how to make some of them in the mission editor. thank you, cant wait untill the next one Comes out!
