Semiconductors and Microchips Manufacturing plant to be constructed in DeKUT

DeKUT Science and Technology Park (DeST-Park) client SemiconductorTechnologies Limited (STL) in the news.
Semiconductor Technologies Limited (STL) has secured a USD 400 million (KES. 54 billion) deal to build-to-suit facilities for developing semiconductors and microchips in Africa. The first two facilities will be developed at the DeST-Park, the first Science & Technology Park.
This marks a significant milestone for Dest-Park and Semiconductor Technologies Limited.

Truly Amazing. This is Massive News. If Kenya can make even 5% of the semiconductor and chips needed in the global supply chain which is experiencing huge shortages, this can really change the trajectory of our economy and place Kenya on the map globally.
