It’s surreal watching this, with Jonny as the youngest and newest member, and now he’s the longest serving member in the current lineup and is leaving at the end of this year! You’ll be missed, Jonny 😭😭
To be a Kings Singer, it sounds like you need to have a good work ethic. You have to be a likeable sort of person too (which is wise, I think). At the end of the day, it is a job where you have to bring a positive attitude and the hard skills as well as the soft skills like not being a real pain in the you-know-what.
Often working class whose talent is spotted as boy choristers and music scholarships follow. In the UK the best choral talent is inexorably drawn to Oxbridge because of the choral tradition there. Please believe that class doesn't trump talent in this particular field. The boy choristers at St Paul's are drawn from all colours and classes. Music is a universal language.
What's up with so many of the English having deformed ears? ie. look at the otherwise ok looking new bass. Even high up in society, like Prince Charles. Must be some weird way of delivering babies distinctive to England.

I met some of them, they were really pleasant and unassuming.
I find this absolutely profound. The sense of fraternity is apparent. Thank you for sharing.
I'm so happy to have one of them in my family. They're all extremely talented, wow.
I sang for a long time with the current 2nd alto, who is a great guy.
@@paulsmith5752 are you the Paul Smith formerly from VOCES8
@Honey Martina that is so awesome
@@Jakeroo767 No. I'm an alto and he's a tenor2/baritone. He's also a bit better than me.
@@paulsmith5752 I think you're talented tho.
Seguo questo sestetto da molti anni ed ogni volta che mi capita di ascoltarlo rimango estasiato dalle sue esecuzioni perfette.
This is amazing. You all are very talented. Today is the first time I have seen you and I just may be in love.
It's beautiful.
This is great! Any more?
I'd love to be a King Singer one day 😊

+Horvàth Andràs "La peregrinación" by Ariel Ramírez

le cambrioleur bass is such a boring part. And just because you hit puberty doesn't mean you're going to be a bass....
