  • Discover Himeji: A Day Trip from Osaka! 🏯🗻🌸
Our first real day in Osaka took an unexpected, yet delightful turn as we ventured to the stunning city of Himeji instead! Just like Bob Ross said, "We don't make mistakes, just happy little accidents,” and this happy accident led us to an incredible journey full of unforgettable experiences! 🌟
Join us as we take advantage of the JR Railpass for an exciting day trip to Himeji:
    1. 🚍 **Bus Ride & Ropeway Adventure**:
    - We started our day by taking a bus to the ropeway, which lifted us up to Shosha Mountain. The panoramic views over Himeji from the top were absolutely breathtaking!
    2. 🏯 **Exploring Engyoji Temple**:
    - Located on Shosha Mountain, the Engyoji Temple area is a serene and scenic spot, perfect for a relaxing walk. It’s also a renowned film location, featured in movies like "The Last Samurai" with Tom Cruise.
    3. 🍂 **Strolling through Kokoen Garden**:
    - This traditional Japanese garden is a hidden gem, adorned with beautiful bonsais, meticulously sculpted landscapes, and a tranquil koi pond. Watching the gardeners at work was a delightful experience as they tend to every detail with great care.
    4. 🏯 **Visiting Himeji Castle**:
    - Of course, we couldn't miss the iconic Himeji Castle - a stunning piece of architecture and history!
    5. 🍣 **Delicious Eel Dinner**:
    - To end our day in Himeji on a high note, we dined on delectable eel, a personal favorite. Every bite was heavenly!
    6. 🍡 **Sweet Souvenirs**:
    - Before heading back, we picked up some local desserts from the Himeji station souvenir store to enjoy during our Shinkansen ride back to Osaka.
Himeji is truly a must-visit destination if you’re in the area! Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more travel adventures. 🚄✨

The 'bugs' at the temple are the shells of cicadas. A cicada grows too big for its skin so breaks out of it and leaves it behind. Pretty cool.

Thank you for letting me know! ☺️ I was thinking about if they were cicada, but I thought they are just around during summer? And seeing their old skin in February I guessed it was something else... Now I know better thanks to you 😚
Also thank you for clicking on and watching my video! 🥹

@@liquoliquo Probably cicadas left their skins there last summer, and just still be there in Feb.
