is the game worth playing? last i heard not only did it have low numbers (steam chart) but the installation was a huge hassle. I heard that trying to use steam for the game is just broken and that downloading it from the website it atrocious, as well as having to download ALL of the patches one at a time... i miss this and other games like this, i've played final fantasy 14 but its not really scratching that itch that pre 2013 mmo games had...
I think the Steam version is broken. You have to download their Installer called Glyph. It has made the installation much more streamline than it used to be. Is it worth playing? ABSOLUTELY. The game is almost exactly like it used to be so if you want an old school mmo for a kick of nostalgia this is right up your alley. With that in mind, it is also an old school grind fest, especially at higher levels. A lot of people get it in their head that you have to cap to play the game. That's just not true. There is so much lower level content that its still fun to play and the pre 80 leveling is great when just playing casually to have fun. Play on Isya server for a populated server. Cya in game ✌️
@@fiestaknight im not convinced its worth playing again. a couple searches for recent content on yt shows that there's groups of elite pvpers that literally sit on top of everyone else because years of sinking money into the cash shop, guilds that have a monopoly in the market that would bleed f2p players dry and yeah im not looking forward to spending months reaching end game, granted there is content at lower levels but nothing like endgame content. its nothing like it was way back in the day, similar yes but not exact. the lack of new players is also going to be an issue as well. I've played on old, dried up servers before and there's 2 types of people that are on, players with years under their belts and newbies that heard about the game and are trying to stick it out. i doubt the pvp maps are popping like back then, were there was TONS of people in the map just killing one another. i bet even the majority of pve maps are empty too..
@@johnthomson3827 Greetings! I have been playing Fiesta Online for a few years now and I would like to give you a point of view from an F2P player. It was difficult for me to play without gold during my early levels, but I quickly found help. That's what surprises me the most about the current state of Fiesta, there is always someone willing to help you with anything, no matter how insignificant it may seem. Yes, it did take me a long time to get my first premium items without spending real money, but from my experience, getting slime coins is not really difficult. As for the guilds, currently there are many guilds that give you gold for leveling up in their academy. Joining them is very simple and they are constantly announcing active academies that you can join without any restrictions. You can even earn some gold with your own effort. I'll tell you from my experience and what I currently do to earn gold. There are many ways to get and sell materials. For example, you just need to reach level 70 and do "KKP," a KQ that is an instance that repeats 2 times every hour. You can monetize the materials you get from KKP in various ways: * Selling the materials directly that you get as a reward each time you finish KKP. *Leveling up alchemy on scrolls. When you have enough level, you can produce speed scrolls. T3 scrolls are sold for approximately 1g each, T4 for 3g, and T5 for 5g (I sell them at that price). * You can also use composition and decomposition alchemy to produce rarer materials that you can also sell at a good price. *In KKP, you also get special weapons and if you get one with excellent stats, you can sell it for some gold. Eventually, you can get some Slime Coins. There are several methods, but the one I use is mainly through the Slime Tokens system, which is a service provided by the game. There are several player-made shops in Roumen that already sell these tokens for gems. I have also spent some money, but that was because there were some good offers in the Item Shop on some occasions. And yes, it can be lonely, but there are many places where there are always lots of people, in KQ and other instances, for example. You can walk around the city and there will always be someone who will answer your questions and help you, as I mentioned before. In fact, in most of the places where you will have to do repeatable missions, there is always a group of people doing the rep, or as I mentioned before, you can ask for help in any mission where you get stuck in the academy. I hope I have been able to clarify your doubts more. Nice to meet you. Nemonius, Isya Server, [Eterno] Guild.
@@johnthomson3827 You can't buy the party of 15 years ago with the party of today. The server was popular, like other games, Perfect Word, Mu Online, among others. However, as with the games we mentioned previously, like Fista too, it's worth remembering and enjoying playing the Fiesta server. I'm going to download it again, because as in the comments above, I also played with my brother, it was the only way to get closer to him, he was the one who introduced me to the server at the time, and we were addicted hahaha. Good times. Big hug brother. I'm sure you will experience nostalgia again.
A little tip from me you can also accept the tasks with the space bar ;D
