Thanks, Nitin Ji, for choosing Ravi ji as today's subject. However, I am afraid the entire conversation lacked the elements that adequately captured the contours of a great career. Like most other composers of his times, Ravi ji enjoyed a very high success ratio. Between 1960 and 1969, his songs were plentiful and amongst the best. In fact, in my honest opinion, 'Chaudvin ka Chand's' title song was a trendsetter -- inspiring 80% of the music directors to choose Mohammad Rafi for the romantic ghazals. The Rafi-Ravi combination is unparalleled when it comes to lilting romantic content. Next, Mahendra Kapoor owes almost his entire success to Ravi ji, though O. P. Nayyar chipped in, too. But OP wasn't cut out for slow, deep compositions. Finally, while Asha ji was O. P. Nayyar's undisputed protege, Ravi ji, brought out the best in Asha, again when it came to slow, melodious tunes.

Raviji’s tunes were simple but very melodious which every person on the streets could sing. I am a big fan of Raviji although many music directors especially like SalilChoudhury hated him

Surprisingly you haven't described any thing about Guru Dutt's film 'Chaudhvi Ka Chand', from where Ravi ji got recognition and Rafi ji got his first film fare award for song 'Choudhvi Ka Chand ho', this was the film from where Ravi ji and Shakeel Badayuni started their work together ❤🙏🙏
Hemant Kumar encouraged Raviji for independent music composer as also gave his voice in initial composed films. For career upliftment, Hemantkumar helped him as also all those who came in contact and have talent too. In those days Hemantkumar was on top and had too much work. Later on Raviji picked speed to achieve more and more. Raviji had to suffer when his son married a politician's daughter.
