I'm one of your oldest subscribers, and you didn't have to scam me through your channel. You talk so much about being righteous and all but it looks like a facade you put up. Jaguar is the prime choice Randy....it's costly to maintain but the car runs smoothly and quiet...it will run fine....a modern exploration...

Long time subscriber here. I love the jaguar content ! I own a 1999 vandenplas. They drive like your on a cloud and if maintained properly very reliable.
I guarantee that Jag has just been sitting, Give it a good tune up clean up some sensors Clean the tank out and put some fresh gas and even though they're normally a money pit, I bet that one's a good runner... I would do some light body work the hale damage and give it a good fresh paint job, If it really doesn't cost you much or anything to really to just get it tuned up except your time. It's a Jag it's worth making it look right... maybe lol.
Replace all parts and buy extra

The Jaguar, I'm not a spark plug changing freak but when car sets for a long time that's usually sometimes what a misfire will do of course you know that. I just love that car
When my 02 firebird would miss it would always sit off a check engine light until I fixed the miss.

Randy, I use gas from airplanes I get at the airport the small planes all fly on regular Auto gas and it's better and has more octane but no alcohol. This is Dale from California

I drive a 2006 xj8 vanden plas they are amazing cars tons of power mine is the next version of that one with the 4.2l and yes it’s jaguars flagship car extended wheelbase
Next time you're out stop at a Phillips 66 I noticed they have non-ethanol fuel at him and they have super non ethanol and regular non-ethanol but you got to look at different pumps sump pumps only have regular and regular unleaded and the other pumps have bull so you got to drive around look at the gas pumps cuz some do and some don't have the premium non ethanol fuel

One thing you forgot about, your jumper pack does have reversed polarity protection.
Also most decent quality big jumper packs will warn you when and if you hook them up backwards.
Last major coachbuilder outside of RR and Bentley pretty much, anything with the badge was usually hand crafted. I still remember my Rover SD1 3500EFi VDP which was completely hand trimmed inside and a much much higher quality than the standard trims. VDP continued in the US for Jaguar's where elsewhere the same cars were badged as Daimler's. The most well known and somewhat a failure was the Rolls Royce 4 litre powered VDP Princess 4.0, it had astonishingly high levels of trimming but failed to sell and in the end BMC gave them to dealers as lagniappe as was cheaper than scrapping 'em.

Whenever Jags have dead batteries, they throw loads of codes, takes 3 or 4 start & run cycles before you get the proper readings. If the trunk (boot) doesn't open on any of the 3 buttons, its probably in valet mode... And yeah, that fuels terrible, I`m amazed the fuel pumps haven't seized. I`m sure it`d appreciate new plugs, & maybe a coil pack or 3... It definitely wants another chance to live.

It's a fuel pig. Vanden Plas is the top of the line Jag. retailed for about 75K. 2 10 Gal fuel tanks which need to be filled up separately and a tank switch on the dash.

That's a toyota solara, or camry solara, either way it's just a camry with a convertible top, luckily the tops don't break all that often.

Randy if your looking for a fuel efficient car that can manage the amount of driving you do, and carry some stuff around, I’d highly suggest the Grand Cherokee 4XE. I just picked one up and it’s a great tow pig and get around car with its amazing power and efficiency.

I guess the Jaguar has the 4.0? If so they're a little less reliable than the 4.2 but still a great engine if taken care of.
