First tiny lion cub excursion with mum

- These two tiny lion cubs were on their first excursion into the big wide world with mum early in the morning. They had to take many small steps to keep up with mum's big strides and their fur was wet from the dew on the grass they had to pass. Enjoy!

Actually most of the animal mums are amazing & will risk their lives to protect their young. During my last visit, I witnessed how a mother impala fought back to protect her little fawn and as a result, both were killed.

True, if the cubs don't behave, it may be life-threatening for them. I always marvel at the extent of protection as far as animal mothers are concerned, risking their lives for their offspring if necessary.

They’re so adorable. Sadly only two of them. Other two must have perished. The survival rate for lion cubs is very slim. Hope they grow to be full adult. They’re so endangered right now due to loss of habitat and the fact that the colonizers hunted them down for a sport 😢. Hope they can spring back to full populations as before.

Unfortunately I don't know which pride it was, sorry! There were two females usually together but only one of them had the two cubs.
